In Giancarlo Stanton’s first at-bat in a New York Yankees uniform, he swatted a ball deeeep into the parking lot. Then he decided to run the ‘hit a home run to the moon’ play again later in the game and finished 3-for-5 at the plate with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs. Mad decent.
The Yankees would go on to win 6-1 against the bitch ass Toronto Blue Jays. Just as the prophecy foretold. It would appear as though this little Stanton experiment might work out after all.
A lot of people were skeptical when the Yankees traded for the 2017 National League MVP who hit a Major League-leading 59 homers. Who knew he would be able to bring that same energy to the Bronx? It was a total mystery.
Mystery solved. Giancarlo Stanton is god’s gift to baseball and having he and Judge bat back-to-back is nightmare inducing for opposing pitchers. Don’t be shocked if David Price uses one of his sick days when the Yankees head to Fenway Park later this season.
I don’t want to be the irrational annoying Yankees fan that says this team is going to go 162-0. So instead, I will be the intelligent well-read Yankees fan that says this team is going to go 162-0 and no one can tell me otherwise. Please believe and understand this.
I will see you all at the Championship parade this autumn. Wear a jacket. Bundle up.
Thanks for reading. Tweet to @TheLesterLee if you think Giancarlo Stanton might actually work out here in New York. Also, go ahead and throw Deadseriousness a Like on Facebook so that I can keep the lights on around here at HQ.
