5. Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick Lamar made the Black Panther soundtrack and that was dope. But I don’t live in a world where a movie soundtrack is ever as good as an actual artist making their own unique album. I need more Kendrick talking about Kendrick and less Kendrick talking about comic books.
4. Tame Impala
I love Tama Impala and for some reason, they still feel like an active part of my life but their last album Currents came out in 2015. Tame Impala appeared on Travis Scott’s last album but that doesn’t count.
3. Vampire Weekend
I feel like every year I write that I’m excited about new Vampire Weekend music and every year, we get no new Vampire Weekend music. 2019 is the year we finally hear some new tracks. Hopefully. Probably not.
Rihanna is releasing a new album in 2019 which means we are going to see her way more often. I’m all in on this. I don’t I’ve ever listened to a Rihanna album top to bottom but I have stared at Rihanna photographs top to bottom.
Who knows what type of publicity stunt she’ll pull to sell this next album but fingers crossed it involves a nipple.
1. Super Slimey 2
There are rumors that the rap Avengers are joining forces to drop a sequel to one of my favorite albums of all time. In 2017, Future and Young Thug dropped Super Slimey and my life changed.
