During an appearance on ESPN Radio’s The Russillo Show, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said Blazers stars CJ McCollum and Damian Lillard “have done a good job of recruiting” Anthony.
Reports that McCollum and Lillard are working to get Anthony to waive his no-trade clause for a deal to Portland have been coming out for weeks.
I want to hate on Carmelo Anthony so badly this offseason. He has put the Knicks front office in a cobra clutch and even though the Knicks are shouting and tapping out, Carmelo refuses to release the hold. Full heel turn.
I Can’t. Knock. The Hustle. I act the same way he does in regards to dating. You always want what you can’t have and for Carmelo, that’s the Houston Rockets and for me, it’s every girl that already has a boyfriend. Then Portland comes and gives Melo some attention and suddenly he’s interested. That’s pretty much me anytime a girl makes eye contact with me. I see you, Melo.
This is probably good news for New York. Portland has better pieces to offer the Knicks while Houston literally has zero assets to give as they traded their entire roster to Los Angeles for Chris Paul. Portland at least has draft picks available.
At the end of the day, just get Carmelo the fuck out of here and let Kristaps run the floor.
Thanks for reading. Tweet to @TheLesterLee if you think Carmelo will end his career on the Knicks. Also, go ahead and throw Deadseriousness a Like on Facebook so that I can keep the lights on around here at HQ.
