The Houston Rockets are 4-6 this season and just got embarrassed by the Oklahoma City Thunder without Russell Westbrook on national television Thursday night. The team that was supposed to bring down the Golden State Warriors scored just 80 points.
What happened to these preseason title contenders?
Here are 4 reasons why the Houston Rockets are TRASH this season:
Chris Paul is dealing with a right elbow injury that he won’t discuss. Asked how much it’s impacting his shooting, he said, “I can play better.” He’s taking a big share of the blame for the Rockets’ offensive struggles.

Eric Gordon is out for Houston.

James Harden missed games with a hamstring injury. Chris Paul seems to have some sort of secret elbow injury that no one knows about. Eric Gordon has a vague injury. The Rockets best 2 scorers are in and out of the lineup. I’ll be honest, that’s not good.
Injuries hit every team. That’s sports. But never usually all at once at the beginning of the season before you get a chance to develop any sort of continuity.
