This week, a photo resurfaced of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones in 1957 standing in a crowd of white kids shouting at the six black teenagers walking into North Little Rock High School in Arkansas as segregation ended.
Wow, so Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was one of the bullies trying to stop his Black classmates from desegregating Central High in Little Rock in 1957. https://t.co/IZm9DuTUhM pic.twitter.com/G4o7H2G9qp

Here’s what Jerry Jones said about being caught very clearly being on the wrong side of history:
“I didn’t know at the time the monumental event really that was going on,” Jones said. “I’m sure glad that we’re a long way from that. I am. That would remind me [to] just continue to do everything we can to not have those kinds of things happen.”
Oh, Jerry only joined the crowd of white kids hissing at black kids simply out of curiosity. Who among us hasn’t sprinted over and looked on at a hate crime happening before our eyes? It’s a learning experience, really.
People rushed to defend the 80-year old extremely white billionaire because there’s no way a white man who grew up in the most racist region of the country in the middle of the Civil Rights movement could be racist in 2022.
Here’s Stephen A. Smith rushing to Jones’s defense:
I’m very fond of Jerry Jones and he doesn’t deserve what just happened to him! pic.twitter.com/XgegwXI5Vh

Stephen A. wants us to know that Jerry was only a teenager and this is just ‘cancel culture’ or some shit. Mind you, most teenagers aren’t gathering together to torture their black peers. By the time you’re a teenager, you know right from wrong and you know you’re being racist.
We all know this old photo isn’t going to affect Jerry Jones in any way. He isn’t going to be forced out of the NFL. He isn’t going to ever have to reckon with his past in any meaningful way. There will be no consequence for hissing at terrified black kids on their first day at the racist white school.
You do not need to defend rich white people. They’ll always be fine. Really wish Stephen A. had all that energy and excitement for the six black kids who were being harassed instead of the white kids harassing them.
The man who has never hired a black head coach and told his players to stand with their toes on the line during the National Anthem instead of kneeling like Colin Kaepernick. This is a man who has for sure proven he is no longer racist.
We’ve seen time and time again that these owners are despicable humans and they always shrug it off like ‘how can I be racist when I pay black players to work for me??’ as if they aren’t proud to have power and control over these black men’s lives.
Also, I’d be remiss to not point out that this is 1000% the work of fellow NFL owner, Dan Snyder, who is at war with the NFL after mismanaging the Washington Commanders for decades. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that this story ran in the Washington Post first and a couple weeks after Snyder threatened to hire a private investigator and get dirt on the other owners.
I’m really hoping this is the first of many leaks and photos and videos and audio files of these owners being racist and shit. This is like a Christmas advent calendar we all need for the holidays.
Fuck Jerry Jones and all of these owners who have spent their lives hoarding wealth and making life worse for everyone but themselves. Stephen A. Smith is a loser who pays for sex and it doesn’t matter how many years go by—if you line up to scare classmates because you don’t want to share a room with black people, you deserve far worse than the life Jerry Jones has received.
