Why Are We All Still Pretending To Care What Aaron Rodgers Says?

Aaron Rodgers is a weirdo. I promise, we do not need to keep pretending to be offended by his weird opinions.

aaron rodgers

Every week, Aaron Rodgers appears on the Pat McAfee show to say lame nonsense and every week, he is trending for 24 straight hours as people clutch their pearls pretending as if society will crumble if ESPN allows this show to air next week.

Recently, Aaron Rodgers and Jimmy Kimmel have been at war because a year ago, Rodgers said the government was leaking UFO information to distract from Jeffrey Epstein’s client list and Kimmel mocked him for being dumb. Last week, Rodgers said Kimmel is probably nervous about the Epstein list coming out, clearly implying that Kimmel would be on the list and Kimmel responded on his late-night show by calling him uneducated. I’m over it.

Millionaires are slapboxing and we’re all pretending as if our lives are in any way affected by their beef. But let’s try and figure out why we keep traveling through this endless cycle of Aaron Rodgers bullshit.

Is Aaron Rodgers dangerous?

Aaron Rodgers has one specific issue that keeps him up at night: Covid-19.

He, along with many Americans, was convinced that any and all covid restrictions and rules were put in place to take away their freedoms and control the masses.

Rodgers is at war with Dr. Fauci—a man who I haven’t thought about in like, 3 years—because Fauci told us to wear face masks when the pandemic first started and there are mixed conclusions about whether or not masks actually reduce the spread.

These people also think the vaccine was a lie because you can still catch Covid when you’re vaccinated even though all you have to do is literally speak to ANY doctor and they would have told you that the vaccine is meant to reduce the harm of the virus, not prevent you from contracting it.

These people think Dr. Fauci is some government agent lying on behalf of the evil ‘them’ who rules over us without ever acknowledging how fucking insane that job must’ve been.

Fauci is the head of infectious diseases and had a pretty easy career until all of a sudden, countries around the world started shutting down while people were dying left and right. They ran out of hospital beds in major cities. There were piles of dead bodies because they couldn’t bury them fast enough.

Aaron Rodgers and these people are pissed at Fauci for being overly cautious during a GLOBAL PLAGUE.

But I think we all understand this.

So when Rodgers goes on ESPN and starts throwing lame shots at Fauci, why do we act as if he is spreading evil propaganda? It’s 2024. No one normal is still even thinking about the pandemic anymore. And the people who are still obsessed with it already agree with Rodgers. No one is watching this show and suddenly becoming indoctrinated. Most humans can discern when someone is a wacko.

I guess I just don’t believe anything Rodgers says is changing anyone’s mind.

We are giving this weirdo too much credit. Most of the Pat McAfee show views are at gyms and bars in the middle of the day with the sound off anyway.

And as far as Jimmy goes, I know Jimmy Kimmel wasn’t on Jeffrey Epstein’s plane. Epstein was with the richest, most powerful people on the planet. Prince Andrew, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Kimmel. Which one of these 3 names doesn’t fit with the rest?

So why are we obsessed with everything Aaron Rodgers says?

If we all understand that Rodgers’s opinions are based on false information and the least funny Facebook memes ever created then why are we always acting like his appearances on Pat McAfee are so harmful?

I want to make fun of everyone panicking over Rodgers’s anti-vax BS but millions of people died. I get the sensitivity when they see Rodgers kee-keeing about the entire pandemic as if there wasn’t a 9/11 worth of deaths per day at one point.

But this feels more like people, and especially media members, wanting to prove how smart they are.

We all want to be perceived as if we’re on the right side of history so we use Aaron Rodgers as an opportunity to remind our followers how much more we know than this Hall of Fame QB.

If you’re in sports media specifically, I can see hating Pat McAfee and praying for his downfall. ESPN had a massive round of layoffs that was immediately followed by the announcement of Pat McAfee’s $17 million-a-year contract.

I like Pat McAfee. Most sports shows are boring. Pat McAfee gets a few good jokes off if you can get past AJ Hawk Zoom called into the show just staring blankly into his webcam with no thoughts in his brain.

But wait, we’ve got breaking news as I’m writing this article:

And there you have it. The powers that be made the call and shut down this weekly Rodgers Show.

We may have finally rid ourselves of this annoying cycle of pretending as if Aaron was this Alex Jones-level instigator when in reality, he was mostly whispering his opinions because he hardly even believes what’s coming out of his mouth.

Unfortunately, before things get better, it’s going to get worse. Aaron Rodgers is going to act as if he’s being censored without understanding that actual, real censorship only happens when someone is speaking the TRUTH.

Like, people losing their jobs for being pro-Palenstine.

Not being allowed to freely accuse Jimmy Kimmel of being a pedophile on ESPN every week doesn’t make Rodgers a victim.

Let’s all please move on with our lives. The NFL playoffs are this weekend. Let’s talk about the games and not the guy who tried to trick us into believing that at 40 years old, was going to miraculously return from a torn Achilles in a few months.

We don’t need to care what every weirdo says.
