People Deserve a Third Chance

Domingo German is done in 2023.

He is currently detoxing in one of the finest rehab facilities money can buy following an incident occurring over the weekend where German showed up at his scheduled start under the influence.

Here’s what went down in the Yankees clubhouse this week:

According to SNY’s Andy Martino, Germán “grew belligerent” while in the Yankees clubhouse Tuesday evening, with witnesses determining him to be under the influence of alcohol and not in control of his emotions.

Germán reportedly flipped over a couch and smashed at least one television during the incident while teammates and staff tried to calm him down, according to the Wall Street Journal’s Lindsey Adler. He also reportedly had a verbal altercation with Yankees manager Aaron Boone and other unnamed people in the clubhouse before teammates sent him to the team’s sauna room. Germán was then taken to the team’s nap room before Tuesday night’s game with security stationed outside the door.

Look, who among us hasn’t shown up to work blackout drunk and then flipped some furniture over when we were told to chill or go home? I have personally demolished several televisions at my place of work after ripping parking lot shots in the backseat of my car.

Thankfully, the Yankees staff had the genius idea to take him to the sauna room to sweat out the alcohol. Everyone knows when you’re drunk and dehydrated, you should force yourself to sweat before you go take a nap.

Very well-run organization things happening in the Bronx.

Yankees fans are feeling a type of way about their favorite franchise for allowing German to even be in this position in the first place.

In 2019, Domingo German slapped the shit out of his wife in front of the whole team at a charity event but after being forced to leave the event, German’s wife had to call a teammate’s wife to come over and help keep her safe from her drunk husband.

Many believe German should’ve been kicked off the team in 2019 for drunkenly terrorizing his spouse so bad she needed help getting away from him.

But you people deserve second chances. Even when they show the slightest remorse necessary to maintain their positions and put forth zero effort into improving themselves and their dangerous flaws.

Okay, so last week he had tequila and smashed some TVs at work before screaming at his boss and needing to go lay in the nap room.

Domingo German may have gotten away with smacking the short-term memories out of his wife’s cranium and showing up to work so drunk he needed to be put in time out but people deserve third chances.
