About a lunar cycle ago, Alyssa Thomas faced a 1-game suspension following an uncalled foul against Caitlin Clark, accidentally elbowing Clark above the shoulders in the midst of a fray for the loose ball. No foul was called in the quick action, but after the internet vilified Alyssa Thomas for “attacking” Caitlin, the league stepped in and told Alyssa to take a game off, to satisfy the loudest tattletales.
The “incident”, just the latest installment of the Caitlin Clark victim chronicles—where the internet and surrounding media ecosystem lose all sense of reality when they scroll past a random, 8-second, out-of-context clip of Caitlin on the receiving end of a foul.
The out-of-context part matters.
Not because Caitlin Clark is a shit-talker, getting in her opponents’ faces, daring them to be physical with her. Or because she, herself, has a highlight reel of her own questionable fouls committed on other players that look just as egregious as the ones committed on her, especially if zoomed in, slowed down and highlighted, like, every single foul looks bad under the type of microscope Clark fans put her opponents.
Out-of-context in the sense of like, this is fucking professional basketball and sometimes a player gets fouled.
Sometimes hard.
That’s just sports, man.

Parker, along with Caitlin Clark’s teammate Aliyah Boston, host a podcast together in which they run PR for Caitlin Clark as if she needs their protection and coddling.
Caitlin Clark—a woman who hasn’t accomplished shit in the WNBA—was ranked 11th in the players’ WNBA ballots, in which the players rank their top 4 picks at every position.
Clark finished as the 11th-ranked guard when all the players’ votes were tallied.
Naturally, Candace Parker used her platform to attack the women who DARED to disrespect Clark by not voting her as the best guard to ever play the game.

These hooligans would be on the street if not for Caitlin Clark, a player shooting 42% from the field and a 3-point specialist, ranked 28th in 3-point percentage. The ball-dominant guard, leading the WNBA in turnovers and is one of the worst defenders in league history.

House Republicans are demanding the WNBA “protect” Caitlin Clark from her peers, threatening to get involved if the league doesn’t handle the matter themselves.
“Caitlin Clark is transforming women’s sports. She has inspired a new generation of young girls to participate in athletics and has become one of the most influential figures in the history of women’s basketball,” the Republican wrote in his letter.
“Clark has been hip-checked, poked in the eye, and struck in the throat during games,” he continued. “These incidents go far beyond routine physical play, yet the WNBA and its officiating have too often failed to address these unacceptable incidents and hold players accountable.”
Pfluger suggested the basketball player is facing “a hostile work environment,” which he argued could be ground for an investigation by the Department of Justice, Department of Labor or the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Now they want to make a racial discrimination case out of Caitlin Clark being fouled sometimes.
Republicans are desperate to transform Clark into their Jackie Robinson.
This is what Candace Parker is working to achieve. A world where white people are victims of imaginary bigotry and will come down with all of the government’s resources to ensure black women are punished and harmed and targeted.
Candace fully knows these players are not handed a sheet by the WNBA, 1-through-100, and told to rank everyone and the players colluded to keep Caitlin Clark at 11. A report from ESPN came out last week stating that only 85 of 180 WNBA players participated in the All-Star voting.
LESS THAN HALF OF THE LEAGUE VOTED and Candace Parker thinks everyone needs to see a medical professional to get over their hatred of Catilin Clark.
Candace Parker, with a garage full of trophies, is a fucking loser. A follower attaching herself to Caitlin Clark for relevancy and attention. A social climber kee-keeing with Aliyah Boston, adding her championship credibility to the terminally-online, hysterical, cynical reactionaries who only find joy in the suffering of those who’ve historically suffered the most. Selling out her own people to appeal to the lowest common denominator, for pats on the back from racists who never watched her score a single basket and are only around to attack black women through the guise of fandom. Now, a vindictive, unethical, prejudiced Trump administration is swooping in to make the lives harder for every black woman the WNBA employs.
Candace Parker is one of the greatest basketball players ever, actively working to make the world of women’s basketball more toxic and more dangerous than it was when she played.
And she let Sheldon Williams hit raw.
