We Should Really Talk More About De’Aaron Fox Being an NFT Scammer

de'aaron fox

NFT’s are a scam. Let’s start with this basic fact before we go any further. If you purchase a .jpg that can easily be copied and pasted onto my phone then you do not own what you just purchased. You gave your money to someone who tricked you. Now onto De’Aaron Fox.

You don’t have to watch that video. Just want to establish a timeline. This tweet is from December 19th of this year. Basically, Fox teamed up with some scam artist and they joined forces to create De’Aaron Fox NFTs that were accompanied by other incentives like playing video games with Fox or winning a scholarship to Kentucky. Not sure how Fox has the clout to award scholarships via his lame ass Discord channel but again, this is all a scam.

Fox made around $1.6 million from promising fans shit and then deleted everything relating to this NFT project and delivered on zero of the promises.

Again, NFT is a scam and there is no need to weep for anyone who has the disposable income to purchase anything related to it but Fox was offering scholarships and video game playing so he was clearly targeting younger people to rob. Very cool, De’Aaron.

To give Fox a tiny bit of rope, this project was most likely presented to him and Fox was merely serving as a spokesman to help sell. I doubt De’Aaron has to ability to manufacture NFTs but it turns out, neither could his partner in this endeavor.

I’m not entirely sure what the consequence of this ought to be considering—anyone who is willing to give up their hard-earned money and exchange it for a commodity that only has value within a very niche Internet community of assholes who have created their own reality where the greatest currency one can possess is a drawing of an edgy chimpanzee—should have to deal with whatever happens to them.

Especially if they are die-hard fans of the guy who is currently leading the Sacramento Kings to a wonderful 23-40 record this season. You guys probably should’ve followed Tyrese Haliburton to Indiana instead of riding with the crypto loser.

Having said that, we are introducing new Deadseriousness NFTs. Please wire me all of your money and you will get a scholarship to ITT Tech.
