Troy Aikman Says Super Teams ‘Never Work’….*Googles 2020 Bucs*

Troy Aikman is on a hot streak of ‘old man yells at cloud’ quotes continuing this week with his remarks on a radio show about the Los Angeles Rams and their ‘super team’.

“We’ve talked about it — the all-star team just — I’ve never seen it work in the NFL. I know Washington tried it back in, I think, ‘99. I’ve just never seen a team that goes out and tries to put together this all-star team that can win a Super Bowl, much less success. It usually unravels, and right now, that’s kind of what’s happening to the Rams. They’ve just not been very consistent.”

Last week, Troy Aikman blamed the Los Angeles Rams’ loss to the San Francisco 49ers on the addition of Odell Beckham despite Odell having just moved to LA like, 2 days before the game and sitting out most of the team snaps because he barely learned the Rams offense and he uh, doesn’t play defense.

Aikman is back to shit on the Rams some more following their loss to the Green Bay Packers. After losing all of their games in November while trying to fit Von Miller and Odell Beckham into the mix, the team is still 7-4 and sit as the 5th seed in the NFC.

The Rams should have a better grip on the NFC considering the talent on their roster but they lost to the Packers, Titans and 49ers this month. Two of the best teams in the NFL and a division rival. It sucks but just because it happened all at once doesn’t mean that Super Bowl winners don’t lose these regular-season games every year.

Speaking of Super Bowl winners, the 2020 world champions have seemed to escape Troy Aikman’s concussion-clouded mind. Tom Brady, Leonard Fournette, Antonio Brown and Rob Gronkowski were all signed last offseason. That’s an All-Star fucking offense, my g. And that’s before you get into a stacked defense starring Ndamukong Suh and Jason Pierre-Paul.

If the Rams fail to make the Super Bowl it won’t be because super teams don’t work or whatever the fuck. It’ll probably be because the other team is also full of talented players and they had more first downs than the Rams. I promise you, no one will look back at the 2021 Rams and think they lost because Odell was a locker room cancer or Von Miller was a meanie. I shouldn’t say ‘no one’. Troy Aikman will.
