Stefon Diggs has declared war against the Buffalo Bills
Earlier this month, Diggs skipped out on mandatory minicamps.
There was so much public drama that the team canceled minicamps a day early.
Then it was reported Stefon Diggs was upset about not getting enough say in the offense and play-calling.
The easy immediate reaction to that story was to laugh at Diggs.
He’s the receiver. He shouldn’t be involved in the game plan. Blah blah.
Here’s what people forget about the Buffalo Bills: their franchise QB, Josh Allen, has thrown double-digit interceptions in 4 out of his 5 NFL seasons, was third in the NFL with 13 fumbles last year and in a 10-27 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in the Divisional Round, he led a 10-play 4th quarter drive that ended up in the Bills turning the ball over on downs.

I am 1000% on Diggs’s side.
I think people forget how dogshit Josh Allen was before the team traded for Stefon Diggs.
Let’s quickly compare how Allen looked prior to Diggs’s arrival and with Diggs:
Without Diggs: 3,089 yards. 20 touchdowns. 58% completion percentage. 85.3 passer rating. 49.4 QBR. sacked 38 times. 91 Rate+.
With Diggs: 4,544 yards. 37 touchdowns. 69% completion percentage. 107.2 passer rating. 76.6 QBR. sacked 26 times. 121 Rate+
Stefon Diggs was targeted 10 times in that playoff loss.
Sure.
But during the 10-play drive to nowhere, Diggs was only targeted once.
There should not be 9 plays in the playbook that don’t involve Diggs.
And if there are then those plays need to be thrown out or saved for your next offensive coordinator job.
You’ll need it because not calling plays for the best playmaker on the team will most likely get you fired in this league.
Diggs started his career putting up Hall of Fame-esque numbers with Kirk Cousins throwing to him.
I trust his ability to access his own impact on an offense compared to his super-flawed quarterbacks.
Look at the decisions Josh Allen makes:

In a playoff game against the Texans, this lunatic chucked a deep ball to his fullback downfield in double coverage as if the shortest, most earthbound player was going to grab the ball out of the air like Calvin Johnson.
Just put yourself in Diggs’s shoes.
Since arriving in Buffalo, he’s lost to Patrick Mahomes twice and now Joe Burrow last season.
The Bills window is shutting right before their eyes.
Justin Herbert and Trevor Lawrence are coming.
Lamar Jackson and Tua Tagovailoa are real threats.
Sean Payton could revive Russell Wilson.
When Aaron Rodgers isn’t sightseeing around Times Square and Ellis Island or going to see Hamilton with Miles Teller, he’s more than capable of stealing another MVP award.
Stefon Diggs turns 30 this season.
I have no problem with him taking control of his own career and legacy by demanding better from his coworkers.
And let’s not let Sean McDermott off the hook here. The Bills almost lost in the Wild Card round against a Miami Dolphins team being led by third-string quarterback, Skylar Thompson.
Buffalo gave up 31 points to Skylar. Thompson.
Pack your bags, Boss Baby.
Plus, Josh Allen is out here throwing shots at Diggs as if Diggs didn’t save that man’s career.
Here’s what Josh Allen said new free agent signing, Trent Sherfield:
“I’ve loved what I’ve seen from Trent so far; the dude works extremely hard. He’s one of the hardest-working guys on the team. Doesn’t complain about anything . He’s rolling right now,”
Trent Sherfield “works hard and doesn’t complain”.
That’s 1000% a shot at Diggs.
The same Diggs who’s made 2 All-Pro teams while Sherfield has 67 career receptions in 5 NFL seasons.
The fact Josh is making this situation worse almost proves Diggs’s point.
Would Patrick Mahomes or Joe Burrow say that some bum receiver “doesn’t complain” while in the middle of all this?
Actually, those two guys wouldn’t even allow a situation with their No. 1 receiver to get that bad.
Josh Allen is running around with his new celebrity girlfriend and he’s on the cover of Madden.
Stefon Diggs can see what Josh is.
Do not be shocked if this Bills team stinks this season and Josh Allen reverts back to the QB that only completed 56% of his passes at Wyoming throwing against future high school gym teachers and local car salesmen.
I will always side with the highly skilled, misunderstood black star athlete—especially when I see a predominately white media start tip-toeing around calling him crazy for simply wanting more power and influence at his place of work.
