Let’s See Which NBA Team Will Give Josh Primo a ‘Second Chance’

josh primo

I didn’t want to write about Josh Primo because it felt odd to pile onto a literal teenager for making a life-altering mistake. We all know you cannot take your genitals out at work and spending 1,000 words wagging my finger at a 19-year-old didn’t seem like a valuable use of any of our time. Plus, he’s Canadian. So he’s been a weirdo from day one.

Primo also has to battle Tony Buzbee—the man who represented the women accusing Deshaun Watson—so he’s in for enough of a battle. This kid has a war ahead of him. Sucks for him. Shrug.

But that made me think about what happens to Primo once this lawsuit is done and he runs out of his first-round draft pick cash. At some point, his agent is going to start making some calls to scouts and front office connects in an attempt to get his client a workout and a potential return to the NBA.

So which NBA team is going to give Josh Primo his second chance?

The Spurs get a lot of credit for waiving Primo. Too many teams blindly back their players during their dumbass crimes when they would quickly fire a custodian if he was late two shifts in a row so shout out San Antonio.

But there are plenty of teams in this league that could afford to take a chance on a young lottery pick who would cost them nothing. It would be all upside. Well, except for the fact the team would be indicating that they don’t care about sexual harassment and care more about a creepy dude who’s averaged 6 points a game in his NBA career.

We’ve seen professional sports teams let us down time after time after time after time. The Cleveland Browns just gave Deshaun Watson the BIGGEST CONTRACT IN NFL HISTORY after knowing what he was doing with local massage therapists.

An NBA team is going to hire Ime Udoka before I even finish writing this article. There is no doubt in my mind that Josh Primo will be back in the NBA and we’re going to have to pretend as if he wasn’t taking his little wee-wee out around the Spurs facility because sports fans have been trained to just pretend like we’re not watching psychopaths make millions of dollars to hurt women and beat off in public and shit.

Again, Primo is a teenager. He absolutely deserves a second chance and his life shouldn’t be over because of a mistake he made. BUT, that second chance 1000% does not need to be in the NBA, man. It should be a privilege to play in the best basketball league on the planet. Primo can have his second chance cashiering at Home Depot or bussing tables at Applebee’s.

But we all know what’s going to happen. See you soon, Josh. Hope your mental health has improved or whatever.
