The Boston Celtis were rwo games away from becoming NBA Champions last season. You’d expect them to disappear from the spotlight and move to dark caves to work on their games in hopes of never losing another Finals like that again but they’ve been quite active. Jayson Tatum was shaking his little ass at Draymond Green’s wedding and head coach, Ime Udoka, has been banging his employees.
Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka is likely facing a suspension for the entire 2022-2023 season for his role in a consensual relationship with a female staff member, sources tell ESPN. A formal announcement is expected as soon as today.

Ime Udoka—a coach who went to the NBA Finals in his first season leading the team—will miss the entire 2022-23 season because he was caught having an affair with a woman who works for the Celtics.
We should start by saying that it doesn’t really matter who the woman involved is. We don’t need to keep investigating and posting photographs of every woman who has filed a W-2 with the Celtics organization in the last calendar year.
We also don’t need to bring Nia Long into this situation at all. Reports have said the two of them had been separated when this all occurred in which case, their relationship is none of our business and Nia Long has been a superstar for decades without ever saying or doing anything shitty. Gal Gadot couldn’t be famous for a year without fucking up. Let’s leave Nia alone.
People also seem to be stumbling over the ‘consensual’ part of this report. I assume they’re implying that if both parties involved were fully okay with the relationship then the one-year suspension is too long
If you work at any popular restaurant chain with standard operating systems and the restaurant manager starts sleeping with one of the waitresses, you wouldn’t be shocked at all when that manager loses his job over it.
You get fired for hooking up with a subordinate. Ime Udoka would’ve been fired if he didn’t just get to the Finals. The 1-year suspension is far kinder than any one of us would get for doing the same thing at our jobs.
I mean shit, this same exact situation happened last off-season when the Minnesota Timberwolves fired team president, Gersson Rosas, because he was having an affair with a team staffer. This is standard procedure for any highly functioning business.
It is crucial to implement these rules in order to prevent a workplace in which women feel obligated to date their higher-ups in fear of consequences for their refusal. No one wants to feel like their boss will mistreat or even fire them if won’t sleep with them.
Consensual affair or not, you cannot establish the precedent that the boss can be horny at work and try to hump their employees because if Udoka gets away with it, what’s to say someone else with power would try to bang a female employee but it ends far worse with some girl getting unearned promotions or getting fired based on her willingness to sex her supervisor.
Also there’s probably some racial element involved here. Luke Walton sexually harassed women and kept his job in Sacramento while Udoka had some side hoes and gets suspended but that has more to do with the Celtics being a well-run company and the Kings being a pile of shit with no accountability top to bottom.
Dang, it sucks to see the Celtics take such a tough blow before the year starts. Would be a reaaaaal shame if this team and their annoying ass fans were to struggle. A reaaaal shame.
