Everyone Jump on the Bryce Perkins Bandwagon ASAP

The Los Angeles Rams are 3-7 and currently having one of the worst Super Bowl hangovers in NFL history. These boys stink. And with “star” quarterback Matty Stafford still recovering from a concussion and backup John Wofford battling a neck injury, the Rams are ready to break glass in case of emergency.

Enter Bryce Perkins.

Oooooweeeee. The Rams are about to get a hell of a lot cooler.

Bryce Perkins is a 25-year old undrafted quarterback who the Rams signed in 2020 out of the University of Virginia. Here’s what Perkins accomplished in his 2 seasons in Virginia:

  • 64.5% completion percentage
  • 6,210 passing yards
  • 47 touchdowns
  • 21 interceptions
  • 1,692 rushing yards
  • 20 rushing touchdowns

Bryce Perkins is the perfect type of quarterback with how poorly this Rams offensive line has performed this season. Any sign of trouble and Perkins will be 10 yards down the field collecting the first down.

Los Angeles also just cut Darrell Henderson so Perkins will be tasked with both leading the team in passing and running the ball. A team that currently ranks 31st in yards per game might skyrocket after they unleash Bryce onto the NFL.

Bryce Perkins was created in a lap to play football. His father, Bruce Perkins, was a fullback in the NFL. His uncle Don Perkins played running back for the Dallas Cowboys. And I remember his brother Paul Perkins suiting up for the New York Giants a few years back.

If Sean McVay can coach Jared Goff to a Super Bowl then I have no doubts we are about to see Perkins get busy this Sunday against the Kansas City Chiefs. Expect a high-scoring shootout. Potential game-of-the-year candidate incoming.

Perkins 4 MVP.
