On Monday night, the Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers played in the NFL’s annual Mexico City game. The Cardinals were squashed 10-38. With Kyler Murray out nursing a hamstring injury, Arizona didn’t stand a chance. Oh, and one of their coaches—Sean Kugler—went out and sexually assaulted a random woman before returning home
There aren’t many details with this story but perhaps that’s for the best. I don’t want to congratulate the Cardinals for immediately firing Kugler yet. It’s very possible that he was fired so quickly because the team knew he had a history of being a pervert and they swept some other garbage under the rug.
If anything, you have to wonder why this is the second time this year that a Cardinals coach got in trouble for assaulting a woman. Running back coach, James Saxon, was sentenced to a year in prison for domestic violence.
What type of men are the Cardinals looking to hire?
Sean Kugler—the Mexican seat smeller—is 56 years old and was only given one head coaching position in his whole ass insignificant career. From 2013-2017, Kugler led UTEP to a disgusting 18-36 record. He managed to get to one bowl game after a 7-6 season. They lost to New Mexico. Laugh out loud.
Kugler was forced to resign in his final season following an 0-5 start. Yike. His one and only shot to prove he was capable of leading the show and he had to quit because his teams couldn’t handle the almighty Conference USA.
Perhaps this was a weird drunk old man who probably knew that the Cardinals stink this season which means all of the coaching staff would be fired so he’d have to once again find a new job and move to a new city so he said fuck it and took advantage of a woman from a country he looks down upon.
Or perhaps this is just who Sean Kugler always is and one woman finally told the authorities about it.
Either way, we can now rid ourselves of his mediocrity. Hope he enjoys coaching the local high school club. Maybe that’s his ticket back to being a head coach. It worked for Jeff Saturday.
