On Friday night, the Atlanta Braves squashed the Cincinnati Reds 8-3, their second straight win to extend the NL East lead to 9.5 games above the Philadelphia Phillies.
Braves centerfielder Michael Harris II started this game brokenhearted, his 1st inning home run ripped from the atmosphere by Reds outfielder Blake Dunn.

Michael Harris II would get his lick back.
Michael Harris II MVP season loading…
Harris II went 3-for-5 with 3 RBIs, his 16th multi-hit game of the season. He’s highkey one of the best players in the world.
Can we just take a quick glance at his season so far?
- 55 games
- .308 batting average (6th in NL)
- 61 hits (7th in NL)
- 13 homers (6th in NL)
- 36 RBIs
- 106 total bases (9th in NL)
- .869 OPS
- 146 OPS+
One of the best hitters while not allowing a single fly ball to hit the grass near him.
The Atlanta Braves are 39-19, walloping teams. Don’t let the Nationals fans over in DC distract you with Jeffrey Epstein emails, making us ignore 25-year-old centerfielder Michael Harris II becoming one of the most dangerous players in the game.
Chris Paddack’s Last Stand
I don’t know what Major League Baseball will look like next season—if it even returns next season.
The MLB owners may dig their heels in for a salary cap.
If that’s the case, and the top teams are given spending limits, some talent may trickle down the mountainside, leaving Chris Paddack on the outside looking in—future teams unwilling to spend a dollar on the guy with the 6.90 ERA, allowing even more runs following his 5.35 ERA campaign last year.
Chris Paddock allowed 4 earned runs on 7 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings Friday night.
He’s now 0-7 on the season, his second loss to the Braves.
First L came on April 15th, wearing a Marlins jersey, Atlanta lit Paddack up.
Twice now.

ROCKED.
Sidenote: Ronald Acuna hit a grand slam on Thursday night in Fenway Park—lol Red Sox, his first homer since April 24th. Started Friday night’s game with a leadoff homer. His 2nd consecutive game with a bomb and his 38th career leadoff hitter. Don’t. Let. Ronald. Get. Hot.
Pray MLB owners continue to pull their pockets inside out when their GMs come to them with trade ideas so guys like Chris Paddack can continue feeding their families and the families of the hitters putting up numbers against them.
Yunior Marte has the worst first day at work
The 31-year-old right reliever made his Cincinnati Reds debut Friday night.
- Gave up 3 hits.
- Hit Austin Riley with a pitch.
- Gave up 4 runs.
- Struck out Braves catcher Chadwick Tromp, swinging.
- Intentionally walked Ronald Acuna.
- Got pulled.
What a first day at work. Some real Homer Simpson shit.
