3 Teams That Should Trade For Baker Mayfield

baker mayfield

While Baker Mayfield was sharpening the chip on his shoulder and posting dumb police statistics on Instagram, the Cleveland Browns traded for a sexual predator and signed him to a disgusting $230 million guaranteed contract. Not great for Baker. Or the local massage therapists in the greater Ohio area.

The Browns also signed Jacoby Brissett to serve as Watson’s backup so even if Deshaun gets suspended for forcing himself on unexpected women, it appears as though Jacoby will be the starting QB which means Baker is stuck in limbo.

It doesn’t help that Browns owner, Jimmy Haslam, apparently said he wanted an ‘adult’ in the room before acquiring Watson which means he believed the serial sexual assaulter was more mature than Baker. Yike.

You can say the Browns didn’t do their no. 1 overall draft pick any favors by constantly firing and replacing the coaching staff around Baker. One of the coaches even claims he was financially incentivized to lose as many games as possible.

But they also gave him Nick Chubb, Kareem Hunt, Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham. If Baker was as talented as he believes he is, then his on-the-field play should have never gotten us to the point where he can be considered tradeable.

Baker has led Cleveland to the playoffs so that’s something another bad organization can use to trick themselves into acquiring the little boy who googles his own name to find his ‘haters’.

Here are the 3 teams that should trade for Baker Mayfield:

1. New York Giants

This is entirely selfish of me as a Giants fan but Baker Mayfield would be perfect for the job. He is the exact QB1 this team needs to ensure they get the no. 1 overall pick next season setting them up to finally select their franchise quarterback of the future because Daniel Jones is not it.

You can make the argument that Baker Mayfield is better than Daniel Jones and sure. Whatever. But we’ve already seen Baker spiral out under the scrutiny of the local Cleveland press. Can you imagine how this fragile pre-teen would handle New York?

Stephen A. Smith may or may not have just challenged Kyrie Irving to a fight a few weeks ago for no reason other than the fact he missed some basketball games. He might start off First Take with a segment called ‘Is Baker Mayfield a Bitch Baby? and spend 25 minutes arguing against Dan Orlovsky on if Baker deserves the death sentence.

2. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are the biggest marks in the NFL right now.

They were tricked into the strange Matt Rhule propaganda that was being circulated in 2020 where everyone in the NFL media was raving about his leadership and coaching despite him having 47-43 record in college and only winning 1 bowl game in 7 years.

Then Carolina was tricked into trading 3 draft picks for Sam Darnold—a quarterback who had only displayed his unique ability to catch mono after graduating middle school and turning the football over.

Why not bring in the quarterback drafted ahead of Darnold in 2018?

3. Target

The local Target is usually alwaysss looking for new cashiers. Baker seems like a guy who would rather quit the game entirely than become a backup quarterback and we’ve seen enough of his game to learn he is most definitely just a backup quarterback so why not take his talents to Target?

This is me just looking out for my dude. That 10% employee discount is going to hit once Cleveland refuses to extend his contract and no other team in the NFL signs him. Target has like, the cleanest floors ever and if you live in Cleveland, you’ll soon be able to thank Baker Mayfield for his remarkable mopping.
