Xavier McKinney is a Superstar…For Now

xavier mckinney

The New York Giants beat the Las Vegas Raiders 23-16 this weekend solely off the back of one individual: Xavier McKinney.

Before I present McKinney his flowers, it is important for me to take a moment to say BAHAHAHAHA Derek Carr is going to be the Raiders starting quarterback forever and this will never stop happening.

Seriously, Carr got MVP votes in 2016 and has held this franchise hostage ever since. He’s Kirk Cousins with eye shadow.

We should all be rooting against the Raiders and their weird racist boss who was way too chatty on Yahoo mail while his star receiver was driving 300mph with an empty bottle of Grey Goose stuck under the brake pedal.

But back to New York’s newest superstar who has had two games this season in which he snatched 2 interceptions. He’s embarrassed Matty Stafford and now Derek Carr. His ability to read a quarterback’s eyes and attack a ball in the air is rare for a player only in his second year of professional football.

This Giants defense desperately needs playmakers. They gave up 403 yards against the Raiders. If you’re letting teams march up and down the field then you need guys who can swing the game with a big forced fumble or interception.

Xavier McKinney has proven that he’s capable of recognizing his opportunities to take risks in order to provide the team with a necessary spark especially after Jason Garrett’s favorite play call which is a 3rd down pass to a receiver that isn’t running a route past the first down marker.

Let us all enjoy the X-Man before he inevitably misses time this season because he refuses to get vaccinated for ‘personal reasons’ or some bullshit. Truly hoping he isn’t interrupting his film study to do his ‘own research’ about vaccines which we’ve now learned is code for just listening to Joe Rogan.

Congrats to McKinney for the coming out party. Get the fucking medicine.
