Where. Is. Chennedy. Carter?

chennedy carter

Chennedy Carter was one of the best prospects coming out of college that we have ever seen as women’s basketball fans. Very rarely have we seen a woman walk in with so much swagger and look like a future star without being 6-foot-8 or forced down our throats by the UConn propaganda machine.

Assholes on Twitter spent the entire NBA playoffs diminishing Giannis’s historic run because he wasn’t a ‘real hooper’ meaning he didn’t have a bag full of advanced NBA 2K dribble packages. But Chennedy IS that player that old heads who shit on the WNBA would genuinely love to watch on the court andddddd the Atlanta Dream has essentially kicked her off the team for reasons unknown.

On July 5th, the Dream suspended Carter after a heated exchange between her and teammate, Courtney Williams, in the first quarter of a game against the Las Vegas Aces in which Chennedy was fuming on the bench and Williams shouted at her to cheer the team on.

Carter never played another minute with the team. It’s also reported that Chennedy challenged Courtney Williams to a fight after the game so one would imagine that contributed to her suspension.

But that was the beginning of July. We’re in mid-September and Carter has yet to return to the team.

This whole situation is frustrating as hell. One of the most exciting players who is still actively being used in ESPN promos and ads for Dream games is missing from the sport and no one seems to be openly talking about it.

It’s more maddening when you remember that former WNBA All-Star, Renee Montgomery, purchased the Dream from Kelly Loefler—a real life villain who was appointed as a US Senator and used her inside information and marriage to the motherfucker who RUNS the New York Stock Exchange to make bank on a global pandemic.

Renee Montogomery isn’t just the owner of the Dream but an active member of the WNBA media. She’s quite literally one of the most powerful women in the sport who locked Chennedy Carter under the facility and is the only one with a big enough platform to discuss but won’t because it was her decision.

Love when the ‘good’ owner takes control from the bad owner only to immediately become the bad owner. Love to see her chuckling with Jason Conception on their little podcast while Chennedy Carter is chained to the radiators in Montgomery’s basement.

I don’t want to absolve Carter of her toxic personality traits.

She was a dick in college, especially when her team sucked so it shouldn’t have surprised Atlanta when once again, Carter is being a dick because her team sucks. She walked through the door this way. Not many 22-year old’s who are savants in their craft tend to be the most patient and humble.

Also have to factor in Courtney Williams’s participation in this beef considering she was traded to the Dream after SHE FOUGHT HER TEAMMATE in Connecticut. Maybe, just maybe, Williams started this fight with Chennedy because that’s like, her thing.

Trade Chennedy. Cut her. Let her play basketball for another team. If she doesn’t want to be on the Dream then free her.

This woman has the potential to be the face of a league that is desperate for stars and the Atlanta Dream sent her to Siberia because she didn’t like losing…ok.

Free Chennedy.
