Wait Until The Clippers Unleash Luke Kennard

luke kennard

On Tuesday night, the Los Angeles Clippers lost to the Dallas Mavericks once again to go down 0-2 in the first round of the 2021 NBA playoffs.

This team has now lost 5 consecutive playoff games dating back to last year’s bubble when they blew a 3-1 lead to the Denver Nuggets.

It’s easy to make jokes about the Clippers, especially when you factor in that this team intentionally tanked the final game of the season against the Oklahoma City Thunder in order to fall to the 4th seed and avoid potentially facing the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round only to have Luka Doncic ride into town and embarrass them in front of the local IG hunnies.

Or Billy Crystal.

Whatever motivates you, I reckon.

After last season’s dysfunction, the team essentially blamed Doc Rivers and decided to replace him with Ty Lue. It was a smart maneuver if you ignore the small detail of Ty Lue being a coach on that sideline who blew a 3-1 lead soooo what exactly changed in that locker room?

People thought trading Lou Williams to the Atlanta Hawks for Rajon Rondo was going to solve their problems. Rondo is a champion and a leader. Unfortunately, by adding Rondo, you lose the 18 points a game he scored for them last season.

Rondo averaged 3.9 points this year. Yike.

In Game 2, Kawhi Leonard scored 41 points on 14-for-21 shooting and 9 free throws. Paul George scored 28 points on 12-for-22 shooting. The Clippers two All-Stars had their best games and the team still lost 127-121 at home.

The Los Angeles Clippers need scoring. They need Luke Kennard.

AKA Logo Luke.

This offseason, the Clippers gave Luke Kennard a $64 million deal. So far, he has played a grand total of 0 minutes in the playoffs.

Kennard scored 520 points in 63 games. Derrick White scored 553 points in 36 games.

Oh no. Nevermind.

$64 million.

I mean, uh, maybe just throw Luke out there to try to defend Doncic because clearly no one else on the team is capable of such a harrowing feat. Clearly, Luka is out there balling to fight off the ‘bitch ass white boy’ label the Clippers threw on him last season so maybe if LA threw another caucasian at him, he’ll be less motivated to kill.

It’s time for some Luka on Luke crime.
