VR Video Games Just as Intense as Sport

Video games are no longer for the couch potato. VR gaming is accessible at home, and there are many titles that will test your physical limits as they are just as intense as a sport in real life.

Firewall Zero Hour

One of the first shooters for the PSVR was Firewall Zero Hour. This game offers highly simulated military scenarios that could be used for real-life training. Similar to the sport of airsoft (is airsoft a sport?) shooting, the realism of this game means it isn’t for everyone. The required movements and precision required, make it intense physically and mentally. Especially when you play in a team scenario. Completing missions successfully requires more than true aim.

Creed: Rise to Glory

Based on the Creed movies, which are a spin-off of the legendary Rocky franchise, Creed: Rise to Glory is one of the most physically demanding VR games available. From the training gym to the ring, every part of the game is designed to be physical. For example, you can even train with Rocky in the gym, doing various activities such as punching bags, running on the spot, and even sparring. In most cases, you will be too tired after your montage to even win your bout.

Sword Master VR is Intense as Sport

Because of devices like the PlayStation Move controllers, mimicking real-life gestures in the game is precise. And this makes games like Sword Master VR pretty exciting but also intense. Combat is based on realistic sword combat. So you need to defend yourself against attacks and then strike when the opportunity presents itself. Combat is highly realistic in this game. And you can go for ten minutes of dueling before timing the perfect shot to move in and kill your foe.

The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners

Not all physical VR games are based on sport. For example, The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners is an intense, fun, and exhausting game. The reason is that everything you do has to be done in real life. For instance, grabbing an arrow for your bow, hacking a zombie in the head with an ax, and even climbing a drain pipe. You must mimic all of these movements exactly as you would need to in the real world. Meaning just dispatching a couple of walkers is tiring.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim VR

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is the best-selling installment of the franchise, with over 30 million copies sold. Thanks in part to the many updated versions. The VR version is included in these sales. Skyrim VR places you inside the fantasy world of The Elder Scrolls. However, you must also defend yourself against all the nasty things that come with it. Combat is highly realistic, meaning you must mimic every action, such as aiming with a bow, slashing, and crouching.

Summary

There are many VR video games that are just as intense as sport if you are looking for something a little more fun than going to the gym. These include Firewall Zero Hour, zombie games like The Walking Dead: Saints and Sinners, and The Elder Scroll V: Skyrim VR.
