Tim Anderson is a Victim

On Saturday night, the Chicago White Sox beat the Cleveland Guardians 7-4 but White Sox shortstop, Tim Anderson and Guardians second baseman, Jose Ramirez, decided to give the fans a preview of the Jake Paul fight later in the night.

Jose Ramirez took exception to the way Tim Anderson tagged him out and the two quickly squared up.

Now, everyone is mocking Tim Anderson for starting a fight and getting his childhood memories knocked out of his head by Jose Ramirez and sure, I get it. Anderson got his knees buckled and dropped like one of Andy’s toys when he was done playing with them. Yes, Tim Anderson got folded up like fresh laundry out of the dryer but he’s a real victim here.

Tim Anderson is having a tough year. It started with his second family being exposed to the world.

It’s impossible not to feel bad for Anderson here.

He spent so much time protecting his original family from the pain of finding out about his secret second family. All Tim wanted to do was make a few women happy without them knowing about each other and lying to everyone in his life but it turned his life upside down.

Poor guy.

And that off-the-field drama made its way into the batter’s box. After making back-to-back All-Star teams, Tim Anderson is having the worst season of his career. He has a career-low 59 wRC+ and 60 OPS+. His WAR is -1.6.

Tim Anderson has 1 home run this season. This season, Anderson has the same number of home runs as he has KOs from Jose Ramirez. Tim has more girlfriends than home runs.

Here’s what Jose Ramirez said after the game about knocking Anderson’s infidelity out of his character:

“I think he’s (Anderson) been disrespecting the game for a while. I was telling him to stop doing that. After he tapped me really hard, more than needed, he said he wanted to fight and I had to defend myself.”

We have to do better as a community. Our brother Tim is hurting. My man was caught cheating, he’s having the worst season of his professional baseball career and now he’s trying to fight people at his job.
