The NFL season is a couple weeks away from opening night and we’re all sort of just pretending as if the pandemic is over even though there is a new delta variant that is sending non-vaccinated people straight back to the ICU anddddd the Minnesota Vikings refuse to get Covid medicine.
In an attempt to educate the dumbest team in the NFL, here’s the organization’s master plan:
The #Vikings are bringing in renowned epidemiologist and infectious disease expert Dr. Michael Osterholm to speak to the team today, I’m told. Minnesota’s vaccination rate among players has lagged behind other NFL teams and coach Mike Zimmer has been vocal about his frustration.

The Minnesota Vikings have already dealt with suffering Covid losses earlier this preseason when their entire quarterback room was forced into quarantine.
Kirk Cousins walked away from that experience telling reporters that he was going to do everything in his power to avoid Covid. Everything except actually getting vaccinated because god or some other bullshit.
If the so-called ‘leader’ of the team isn’t going to get the vaccine then what chance does Mike Zimmer have of getting the rest of his roster some medicine that they not only need in order to play all 16 games but to, ya know, stay healthy and not die.
Shout out to the staff for attempting to do SOMETHING about their low vax numbers but Dr. Michael Osterholm isn’t going to suddenly change people’s mind when their mind is set on this incredibly silly idea that getting medicine is somehow an invasion of their American freedoms or whatever.
Players like Kirk Cousins are out here doing their ‘own research’ which means they’re finding shady Geocities websites created by guys who aren’t allowed at their families’ holiday parties.
Can’t help but remember the time Cam Newton laughed at a female reporter who asked him about wide receiver routes. Cam could not believe that a WOMAN would ask an NFL pro about routes. Cam was dragged for weeks for that. And rightfully so.
Yet an NFL quarterback is pretending to know about fucking vaccines and no one finds that to be laughably stupid.
The Minnesota Vikings are going to give everyone Covid and they should be forced to forfeit every game until enough players are vaccinated. You want to exercise your ‘freedoms’? Cool, go do it outside of the NFL. Target is hiring this time of year.
