After generations of being named after an ethnicity and having a cartoonishly mocking logo to match, the Cleveland Indians have finally changed their names to the Cleveland Guardians and like everything that happens in this country now, Trump supporters are weeping in the streets about how much they miss being allowed to be openly racist.
Here is what Donald Trump had to say about the name change:
“Can anybody believe that the Cleveland Indians, a storied and cherished baseball franchise since taking the name in 1915, are changing their name to the Guardians? Such a disgrace, and I guarantee that the people who are most angry about it are the many Indians of our Country. Wouldn’t it be an honor to have a team named the Cleveland Indians, and wouldn’t it be disrespectful to rip that name and logo off of those jerseys? The people of Cleveland cannot be thrilled and I, as a FORMER baseball fan, cannot believe things such as this are happening. A small group of people, with absolutely crazy ideas and policies, is forcing these changes to destroy our culture and heritage. At some point, the people will not take it anymore!”
There is nothing that white people love doing more than telling other people what they should and should not be offended by. And if they’re really good racists like Trump then they can go this AND be racist at the same time like Donald does here by continuing to call them Indians when he knows damn well they should be addressed as Native Americans.
There aren’t even enough Native Americans left to dispute Trump’s claims because Americans wiped them out of existence and then named football and baseball teams after them as if they were wild animals they hunted.
You cannot commit genocide on Monday and then tell the victims of genocide that they’re being too sensitive on Tuesday.

Rich Lowry is upset that Cleveland no longer has a cool name or whatever. Cleveland Guardians are ‘pointless’ but Cleveland Indians somehow made all the sense in the world. Would love for this weirdo to sit down and list the purpose of every major sports teams’ mascots in order of coolness of course.
Conservatives like my dear special needs friend, Aubrey Huff, are upset that the Cleveland Guardians organization didn’t have the ‘balls’ to fight against PC culture or some shit but look at what these maniacs are fighting for. The right to be racist and wrong.
Again, only assholes call Native Americans ‘Indians’ to begin with. It would be like a baseball team called the Arizona Negroes and having Donald Trump say it’s a disgrace that Negroes no longer have representation in sports anymore because woke culture because you can’t show up to Arizona games in blackface anymore.
Is the Guardians the coolest name ever? No. Who cares? Does your jaw drop in amazement every time you hear the name ‘Detroit Tigers’? No. This is the least important shit on Earth.
