Pay Pete Alonso Everything

After one of the worst seasons of his career, Pete Alonso was going into free agency cold. Then he hit one of biggest homers EVER.

Pete Alonso was one at-bat away from being left on read all winter.

If the New York Mets lost Thursday night, Alonso would’ve entered free agency ready to sign a minimum wage contract.

Alonso played all 162 games this season and still managed to have the worst season of his life with career lows in almost every single category.

In 2022 and 2023, Alonso hit 40+ homers and drove in 100+ RBIs. This year, Alonso only hit 34 home runs with 88 RBIs. Always a great idea to have your worst season before contract negotiations.

Game 3 of the Wild Card round was designed for spectacular failure.

The Mets were on the road against a Milwaukee Brewers team that they’ve beefed with all season. Game 1 almost had a benches-clearing brawl. Rhys Hoskins was created to frustrate Mets fans.

The Mets just had a dramatic victory earlier in the week to clinch the playoff berth. We’ve seen teams run out of momentum, emotionally draining themselves in their playoff-clinching celebration only to get boo-bopped in the first round.

After the Milwaukee Brewers hit back-to-back homers in the 7th inning to go up 2-0.

Shout out to Sal Frelick hitting a massive homer. His first since May. May is coming up again soon.

At the top of the 9th inning, Pete Alonso came to the plate hitting .125 in the series and looking like he’ll never get the money he needs to fix his thinning hair.

Then he put a gun to Steve Cohen’s head.

That Pete Alonso homer landed in Steve Cohen’s wallet. It’s over. The Mets could get swept next round and his massive contract is already signed. Alonso has 3 of the top 6 home run seasons in Mets history. He just had one of the most electric homers in baseball history.

The biggest shot to happen to Queens since Cleanthony Early got shot outside of that club.

Alonso wants to be a Met for life and just sewed himself into the franchise’s DNA. The first billion-dollar contract soon cometh. And that’ll be a discount.
