Mike McCarthy Just Realized Jerry Jones Sucks

The Mike McCarthy Jerry Jones era may be coming to an end as a source reveals McCarthy has had enough of Jerry, well, being Jerry.

Mike McCarthy is entering his 5th season as the Dallas Cowboys head coach and suddenly, out of nowhere, it appears McCarthy may have learned something about Cowboys owner, Jerry Jones, that we all already knew: he sucks.

According to NFL insider Tyler Dunne, who spoke with a former Cowboys employee, Mike McCarthy is fed up with Jerry Jones undermining him.

Here’s what Dunne wrote about the situation:

Multiple people high up in the organization indicate that current players are more concerned about Jerry Jones than their own head coach. They know ownership can undermine the head coach at any moment.

“So that means you can get a talented team like they’ve had,” this personnel source says, “but they’re going to underachieve when the coaches can’t influence the players the way they need to.”

Sounds like McCarthy is having trouble getting his players to listen to him. It’s like he’s the shift manager at the local family-owned restaurant where waitresses show up hours late or straight up don’t ever come in at all without telling McCarthy and when he calls them out, they’re like “Well, Jerry said it was okay”.

I imagine running a ball club is tough when everyone treats you like mall security but this doesn’t feel like the perfect timing for a story like this to hit the streets. Jerry Jones not only meddles with the team but he loves talking to microphones. He is going to respond soon and really make people choose sides.

What does this Mike McCarthy Jerry Jones beef mean for the 2024 Cowboys?

Mike McCarthy is 67-42 as the Cowboys coach. After going 6-10 in his first season with the team in 2020, McCarthy’s Cowboys won 12 games three consecutive seasons, making the postseason every year but still feeling as though they haven’t reached their full potential.

Last season ended with the Cowboys getting dogwalked by the Green Bay Packers in the first round and Jerry Jones essentially showing McCarthy mercy, allowing him to come back this season is a strange lame duck season that feels like anything less than a trip to the Super Bowl will be the end of the McCarthy era.

Perhaps McCarthy wants it on record if the Cowboys have a disappointing season, it’ll be because Jerry Jones wouldn’t let him do his own thing.

As someone who loves burning bridges, I 1000% support Mike in his quest to leave the Cowboys with as much free shit in his pockets.

This is most likely the final season in Dallas for not only Mike McCarthy but Dak Prescott as well. Cannot wait for all of the leaks that come out. We’re going to hear a story about Jerry Jones hissing at black babies in the park or something.

RIP Dallas.
