I Think I Can Go The Rest of My Life Without Seeing Kevin Porter Jr Play Basketball

Kevin Porter Jr. has been a guard in the NBA for 4 years. Last season he averaged a career-high 19 points a game and helped lead the Houston Rockets to an incredible 22-60 record last year.

He’s followed James Harden’s career trajectory of playing at USC, coming off the bench in his first season, being traded to the Rockets and then pounding the air out of the ball and making every possession about himself.

Except he’s nowhere near as talented as Harden and his little 20 points a game has absolutely zero impact on actually winning games. His shot selection is terrible and he rarely makes the correct decision with the ball in his hands.

Oh, and he just beat the shit out of his girlfriend, former WNBA player Kysre Gondrezick.

“Upon arrival officers were informed that a 26-year-old female sustained a laceration to the right side of her face and was complaining about pain to her neck. A preliminary investigation on scene determined that a known individual struck her multiple times upon her body and placed his hands around the neck.”

The same guy who was suspended in college for being a dick?

The same guy who was traded from Cleveland because he was a dick and threw food at the GM?

The same guy who was suspended by the Rockets for being a dick and refusing to check into a game?

And now he’s hitting his girlfriend?? *jaw drops*

There are so many talented players on this Earth who would love any one of the numerous opportunities Kevin Porter Jr has been given.

We don’t have to ‘wait and see’ how the justice system treats him.

There is enough evidence to know that everywhere he’s been, people have desperately been trying to excuse his nonsense and give him second, third and fourth chances.

Personally, if I was making millions of dollars to dribble a ball, I would have zero anger issues whatsoever. Porter Jr can literally pay for anything he wants, never has to stress about bills and has a lovely girlfriend. There is nothing this loser has to be mad about.

If I were him, I wouldn’t need to flip out constantly and strike my significant other but whatever.

We don’t need to talk suspensions and how long it should be and blah blah.

He had a chance to live a life people grow up dreaming about and he would rather prove how ‘real’ he is. Sick.

Kevin Porter Jr can enjoy the rest of his life sitting next to Rashad McCants and they can reminisce about all the times they scored 25 points in meaningless games no one remembers. He can make lists of ‘real hoopers’ with Jamal Crawford and those guys. Cool.

But I do not ever need to see this dork play basketball again. There will always be guys capable of scoring. He is not unique in that regard. He adds nothing more than that to any basketball team. If anything, he takes away from teams with his off-the-court nonsense.

There’s a guy who plays like Kevin Porter Jr going crazy at the local LA Fitness right now as you read this.
