Cole Anthony Is Making Me Write About The Orlando Magic

cole anthony

The Orlando Magic are 3-8 this season. That’s the 4th worst record in the NBA. There should be no reason why I’m sitting here with my hot computer on my lap, watching last night’s episode of Succession and typing words about the Magic but Cole Anthony is determined to make me care about this team.

On Sunday night, the Magic upset the Utah Jazz 107-100 thanks to a monster game by Anthony.

  • 33 points
  • 3 rebounds
  • 3 steals
  • 2 blocks
  • 13-for-20 shooting
  • 5-for-10 from 3

10 of those 33 points came in a huge 4th quarter run that sealed the win for Orlando after trailing by 13 points in the 3rd quarter.

Wendell Carter Jr also had a 22 point, 15 rebound game to remind people why the Chicago Bulls drafted him so high but he didn’t have the post-game interview that Anthony had after the victory so this win isn’t about him.

“Shout out Mo BAMBA

This is how you become an NBA superstar. Force of will. You drop 33 points on the best team in the league then you stare into the camera like you’re calling out The Undertaker for a Wrestlemania match.

Here’s a post-game interview from Cole Anthony last season in which he declared that he knew his defender wasn’t going to be safe:

Almost makes you forget that Orlando has won 3 games and most nights they look like they do not belong in the NBA. There’s a fine line between confidence and all of the weird shit Paul George has said over the years.

Cole Anthony needs to put up 33 points when it matters or else he will be the next ‘playoff P’ getting roasted on Twitter after a wide open airball. But let’s enjoy his great play and great WWF promos before they get stale and before Mike Greenberg is talking about it on Get Up thus ruining it for everyone.
