Bill Belichick is Sabotaging Mac Jones's Career

This article is going to hurt writing. I am about to write something that defends Mac Jones—a guy who seems like he’d call me a racial slur if I beat him in a beer pong game at a frat party. Mac Jones seems like he calls women “bitches” after he DMs them begging for pussy and they deny him.

There’s a report this week that the Patriots are shopping Mac Jones who went 6-8 in 14 starts last season. The timing of this is strange considering New England waited until free agency ended which means they’d be trading Jones with no idea who would be replacing him as the team’s QB1.

Sure, Bailey Zappe is still there and looked pretty good in 2 starts but there are plenty of backup QBs who are capable of having a good couple of weeks. That doesn’t mean he can outplay Tua Tagavailoa, Aaron Rodgers and Josh Allen in the AFC East.

But by publicly making it known that Jones is available, Bill Belichick is telling us what he really feels about Mac. Belichick very clearly does not fuck with Mac Jones at all.

Last season, Bill Belichick elected to go into Week 1 with Matt Patricia as his offensive coordinator and Joe Judge as their quarterback coach.

Matt Patricia is a former defensive coordinator and failed Detroit Lions coach. In his final season at the Lions head coach, Detriot finished with the 30th-ranked offense.

Joe Judge was a special teams coach at Alabama for Nick Saban and thanks to the broken NFL hiring system, Judge was given a coaching job with the Patriots because of Saban’s relationship with Belichick. He then got the Giants head coaching job, again, based solely off making the right relationships and fellating every powerful man he ever made eye contact with.

Oh, and Joe Judge had a 10-23 record in two years as the Giants head coach with the 31st-ranked offense two years in a row. Mind you, there are only 32 teams.

This is the dream team Belichick put together.

What a handicap to place on a 2nd-year quarterback who doesn’t have the natural arm talent to overcome basic coaching issues. Belichick also appears to have zero desire to acquire a top receiver for Jones. Last season, a running back led the Pats in receptions.

So it made sense that Mac Jones reportedly looked for offensive advice outside of the organization which Belichick hated and took as disrespect but he left Jones no choice. His QB coach was a brown-nosing scammer with absolutely no history of having offensive success.

You also have to recognize that Mac Jones is a starting quarterback by the skin of his teeth.

He doesn’t possess the arm strength or athleticism of any of the top guys in the league. His only real advantage is his pre-game preparations and his understanding of NFL defenses and that advantage was taken from him by his coaching staff comprised of two children on each other’s shoulders wearing a big trench coat pretending to be professionals.

NFL quarterbacks have very small windows to prove they are worthy of being career starters. Look at Zach Wilson. He suffered injuries in his first season and looked terrible in season 2. Now it looks like not only is Aaron Rodgers coming to take his job but there isn’t a market for him to play elsewhere. Josh Rosen had a bad rookie season, was replaced by Kyler Murray the next year and was never allowed to start again.

Mac Jones went to the Pro Bowl in his rookie season and then had to work with Dumb and Dumber in year 2 and now it looks like Belichick is done with him because Mac wanted to save his career and asked for outside advice.

It’s important for me to repeat that I do not like Mac Jones. He’s a herb who would 1000% call the cops on me if he saw me driving through his neighborhood.

In fact, I completely understand why Belichick is sabotaging Mac Jones. He’s not talented enough to compete in the AFC, he’s a crybaby constantly shouting at coaches and teammates when things don’t go his way and he got to give some of his former assistants a coaching job knowing that the outcome didn’t really matter. What a good friend and a dedicated hater. Belichick continues to be the GOAT.
