Baker Mayfield is the Final Nail in the Rams Coffin

Baker Mayfield was the no. 1 overall pick in 2018 NFL Draft. Now he’s on his 3rd team after being claimed off waivers this week by the Los Angeles Rams because Matt Stafford banged up his spine and can’t play this season.

The Rams are currently 3-9 and have punted on the 2022 season. They won the Super Bowl last season and started this season by getting body bagged by the Buffalo Bills 31-10 on opening night. The season was downhill from there.

Baker Mayfield was so bad in Cleveland that they replaced him with a guy who jerked off onto every local massage therapist in Houston. Baker Mayfield was so bad in Carolina that they replaced him with a former XFL quarterback.

Now, some of you might remember that Rams head coach, Sean McVay, went to the Super Bowl with Jared Goff. If he can lead Goff to the big game then perhaps he can turn around Baker’s career.

But Jared Goff is objectively better than Baker. Goff is 7th in passing yards (3,022) and 10th in passing touchdowns (19). Goff has 7 interceptions in 12 games. Baker has 6 interceptions in 7 games.

McVay can’t turn water into wine, unfortunately. And now seems like a good time to remind people that he admitted he’s ready to retire once all of the core players on this Rams roster leave. When Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald are gone, so is Sean McVay.

You know what will accelerate that process? Baker Mayfield dropping back on third and long and throwing a BULLET pass directly into the back of his own offensive lineman’s helmets because he isn’t tall enough to see over them.

There is also a belief that the Rams claimed Baker off waivers in order to keep him away from the San Francisco 49ers who lost Trey Lance and now Jimmy G this week with injuries.

Have you seen Baker try to play quarterback? If the Rams really wanted to derail 49ers season then they would’ve picked Baker up from the airport and driven him straight to San Francisco’s practice facility.

In Baker’s last start, the Panthers scored 3 points and Mayfield threw 2 interceptions.

Baker Mayfield is one of the worst quarterbacks in the NFL and he is now taking his talents to Los Angeles to destroy the Rams and send Sean McVay into retirement.
