Singer Baby Storme had a vision for a perfect music video—she and her friends dancing in the local Target—but those dreams became a nightmare when a racist Target employee called the police on her.
Here is some of the footage she captured before the pigs came to take a black queen down.

Baby Storme originally posted the video with the caption “This racist target employee called the police on us for dancing in Target… So we danced anyway”.
Love her bravery.
Baby Storme dancing in a Target is just like Rosa Parks refusing to give up her seat on the bus and Tank Man standing in Tiananmen Square. Schools across the country will teach students about Baby Storme’s music video.
Target is disgusting for what they did to this girl.
You can’t even walk into a Target with 12-18 backup dancers and shoot a full music video in the middle of the day disturbing all of the customers without someone judging you by your skin color and calling the cops. This is America.
And this is only a couple months after Target had the AUDACITY of selling pride month clothing in children’s sizes. What if my children found out rainbows exist? What am I supposed to tell my kids? That gay people wear clothes too?? You cannot expose children to these types of things.
And now they’re stopping young black creators from flourishing. Wow.
Here she is describing her heroic stand against Target and the racial oppression she details in the Youtube description of the video:
“I was so excited for us to film a quick flash mob at Target. But before we even walked through the door, this employee called the police on us for being on the property. At first he said we couldn’t film. But when we stopped filming, he still continued to kick us out.
“So, we made the most of what we could. I couldn’t even remember the dance I came up with. This moment for me was one that I really can not describe. I tried to keep it together, but all I could focus on was all the beautiful brown faces I was able to bring together. That were able to stand in solidarity today. This is everything I stand for”.
Today, we all stand in solidarity with Baby Storme and black people across the nation who want to randomly rush a store without giving any employee a heads-up beforehand so they can shoot a flash mob-style music video for likes, views and clout.
And hopefully this is the final nail in the Target coffin. We need to boycott the only store in my town that has everything I need all in one place at pretty affordable prices.
Fuck Target.
