Sam Darnold Is Going To Save Deshaun Watson's Career

Darnold—who was once projected to be the no. 1 overall pick in his draft—has now become a reclamation project with the Panthers.

Here is Sam Darnold dropping back, going through all of his reads, only to make the genius decision of overthrowing a terrible football into double coverage for no reason at all.

Darnold was 3-for-7 on the day including that interception.

Nice.

Zero stakes and he completed less than 50% of his throws.

Adam Gase is going to hell.

But it makes sense that there are still reports regarding Carolina’s interest in acquiring Deshaun Watson from the Houston Texans.

Now reminder, Watson is in the midst of a career-ending controversy due to his inability to get a regular massage without forcing masseuses to touch his little wee wee.

Personally, I don’t think Deshaun Watson should ever play in the NFL again, or at the very least, he should be sidelined until there is a trial but I won’t pretend as if the American justice system frequently results in actual justice.

Regardless, Watson cannot stay in Houston and jog onto the field as QB1 knowing that as soon as the game ends, he’s going to DM a random local spa with a ‘happy endings?!?!’ message but in all caps and probably with weird emojis.

A team would truly need to be desperate in order to acquire this quarterback without knowing how his lawsuits will turn out.

But that’s just how awful Sam Darnold is.

Carolina—who just had an owner who was known for sexually harassing female employees—would be ready and willing to bring in this sexual predator.

Pray for the Panthers staff when Deshaun Watson brings back “jeans day” because Sam Darnold has no idea where the football is going when it leaves his hand.
