Once every few months, a scaly, veiny, geriatric, reptilian, dork trends online for sitting at his little desk across from NFL legend, Shannon Sharpe and saying some of the laziest, uninspired ‘hot’ takes and occasionally being wildly disrespectful for the sake of winning an argument that literally no one is actually invested in.
This week, Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe argued about Tom Brady’s performance against the San Francisco 49ers this past weekend. The 49ers won 35-7 and Brady looked the way he’s looked all season: old and mediocre.
Naturally, Skip Bayless defended Tom Brady because on these debate shows, it is crucial to maintain the same position day in and day out despite how wrong you may be just so that you can continue to argue and the audience is supposed to enjoy this even though they are aware of how full of shit Skip is.
There was absolutely no reason to care about this random ass TV segment until Skip Bayless went from 0-to-100 and took a weird personal shot at Shannon Sharpe in order to defend Tom Brady.

“You’re just upset that Tom Brady is still playing at a high level at 45 and you had to retire at 35” -Skip Bayless says to an NFL Hall of Famer who is arguably one of the greatest at his position and helped revolutionize the way tight ends were used as passing threats.
Shannon Sharpe then attempts to defend his resume to an elderly dickhead who is fully aware of his accomplishments but simply wanted to dig at him. Skip can now apologize or walk back his previous statements but instead, shouts “HE’S WAY BETTER THAN YOU WERE”.
Who is this performance for? Personally, I prefer intelligent and clever sports commentary. There is no part of me that enjoys two people sitting across a desk from each other with one person taking a side they don’t believe in just for the sake of ’embracing debate’.
Who enjoys listening to this old man whine and cry about Tom Brady or whatever the fuck. Perhaps this is the point, right? We talk about how much of a fucking loser he is and he goes viral and that’s somehow good for the show but like, I didn’t watch that clip and then had some urge to see the next day’s episode.
End Undisputed. End First Take. Just let people talk about sports things they love and get rid of this negative shit where it’s all about winning some meaningless argument at any cost. The stakes are incredibly low on these shows.
Skip Bayless is unwatchable. He’s a low IQ, clout-chasing, coat-tail riding, bottom-feeding, neanderthal who provides nothing of value to the sports entertainment industry.
Fuck Skip Bayless.
