Odell Beckham is a Brilliant Scammer

Odell Beckham Jr. has spent the last month being courted by the Dallas Cowboys, New York Giants and now the Buffalo Bills to join their squads and help them on their quest to win a Super Bowl much like he did for the Los Angeles Rams last year.

But what makes this whole recruiting process so hilarious is how much Odell seems to be rejoicing in the attention and love he’s receiving while knowing that he’s not the same wide receiver he used to be.

Odell is 30 years old and coming off a torn ACL. He’s been injury prone his entire career and every single time he was injured, he came back as a worse version of his previous self. He hasn’t played a full season since 2016. It’s 2022 for those who don’t know.

Last season—between the Browns and Rams—Odell averaged 38 yards a game. He caught 44 passes out of 82 targets. The star WR1 that he was in the New York Giants glory days are long gone. He’s a 3rd option at best yet he is still being treated like a game-changing superstar.

Odell Beckham knows he’s not the same athlete which is why he won’t even work out for these teams. That’s a man who knows his knee probably still hurts and doesn’t want any of these front offices to realize he’s washed.

I mean shit, ODB can’t even take a plane to visit these teams without getting absolutely SMACKED before the plane takes off.

“The flight crew was concerned for a passenger [Mr. Odell Beckham], as they tried to wake him to fasten his seat belt, he appeared to be coming in and out of consciousness, prior to their departure,” the police statement said. “Fearing that Mr. Beckham was seriously ill, and that his condition would worsen through the expected 5 hour flight, the attendants called for police and fire rescue. Upon the officers arrival, the flight crew asked Mr. Beckham several times to exit the aircraft, which he refused.”

Blacking out on the runway and refusing to get off the plane is a surefire way to let people know you do not give a fuuuuck about meeting with the Cowboys.

And he gets to behave that way because he knows he’s the best option available for these teams. Have you seen the free agent wide receiver class for 2023? No one is rushing to give the bag to Nelson Agholar or DJ Clark. Odell has all the leverage in the world and he’s using it.

No doubt in my mind that he’s currently at the Giants facility exhaling hot liquor breath in everyone’s faces and they all have to pretend not to notice the old beer sweating out of his pores because even at 30 with a bum knee, he’s the best option they can acquire.
