It's Soooo Weird That NBA Teams Won't Sign Enes Kanter

Here is what former NBA player, Enes ~~Freedom~~ Kanter said to the Israeli press regarding his current status with the NBA:

“Free agency is open for one month. Normally, I should have already received offers,” Kanter said. “This summer I did not receive one single offer. The reason is that I spoke out against what is happening in China in recent months. The Chinese market is a big part of the NBA business. So, they will allow talking freely about anything you want until it hurts them financially. As soon as you do that, they will cut you. It is very sad and unacceptable.”

“I knew there was a price to pay. And I don’t regret my actions. These things are bigger than me, bigger than the NBA, and bigger than basketball. While I am playing in the USA, people are being killed all over the world or imprisoned or tortured in prisons. If this is the sacrifice I need to make, I am ready to live with it,”

Is Enes Kanter being blackballed?

While paying for the Knicks in 2017, Enes Kanter received the attention—we would later find out he is fucking desperate for—by criticizing the Turkish government that had imprisoned his father who supported the opposition and seemed like an actual freedom fighter.
The light clearly went off in Kanter’s head. He can be a ‘hero’ by going after a dangerous regime like Turkey’s and shrug off the consequences of his actions because his father would be jailed while he continued to frolic around New York with a haircut that made him look like a Z-list Batman

He would once again seek to get the easiest applause he could by going against the Chinese government and their internment camps capturing and torturing Uyghurs.
On its surface, yes, fuck China for their treatment of Muslims. Duh. But that’s not what Enes cares about. During all of his strange press tours, he’s never actually talked about what exactly it is that China is doing and ways to stop them. Not a single detail or fact.
What Kanter has really done—whether knowingly or not—is take conservatives’ hate for how the NBA has embraced Black Lives Matters and use the league’s business relationship with China to claim that the NBA is championing China’s despicable actions. Last year, Kanter told CNN that the NBA encourages players to speak out regarding black issues but they stay silent on Chinese injustice. If Kanter truly cared about what’s happening in China, he wouldn’t shit on the NBA for focusing more on issues that are directly affecting the daily lives of their players.
The point is, no one dislikes Enes for saying ‘China is doing harm to Uyghurs’.
He’s out of the league because he sucks at basketball. He’s 7 feet tall with absolutely no idea how to protect the rim. He is abysmal in pick and roll defense and no one is rushing to sign a player who spends his off-nights on Zoom calls with Fox News saying that LeBron James is evil because he wears Nikes made in China or some shit.

It’s also hilarious that Enes Kanter is on an Israeli press run. Enes renamed himself Freedom and said this is the best country on the Earth so of course he’s hanging in Israel—a country that America gives over $3 billion a year in military funding so they can bomb and obliterate Palestinians. Odd that Kanter has no problem with what Israel does to Muslims but can’t stop talking about how like, Donovan Mitchell won’t speak up about China. Interesting.

Shocked NBA teams aren’t rushing to add his 3.7 points a game. Must be a conspiracy or the Democrats or whatever the fuck.
