deshaun watson boos
NFL

Following a disappointing preseason performance, the returning Deshaun Watson shared how hurt he was to hear the local Cleveland Browns fans boo him.

Here’s what Watson told ESPN reporters post-game:

“I think the whole world knows it has nothing to do about the performance,” Watson said. “It’s a little bit [more] personal than that. So I think it’s a disrespectful thing. So yeah, I mean, I’m going to keep whatever I feel with me and my family internally on how I feel about that. And yeah, just move on.”

“Last time I played on this field, I tore my Achilles. And that same fanbase, they cheered when I got hurt,” Watson said. “So what does that have to do with anything about performance? When a person gets hurt, especially for your own city, and they cheer?”

Poor Deshaun. Fans shouldn’t treat their star, immensely paid, underperforming quarterback this way. All Watson did was sexually harass/assault 20ish massage therapists in the greater Houston area—using his fame to pressure masseuses into performing sexual acts on him, denying it to this day, and then signing the biggest contract in NFL history only to consistently, year-after-year, finish around the 32nd-ranked QB in the NFL—all talent erased from his body the second the news broke.

In his second preseason start, Watson played 4 drives, in the second half, against 3rd and 4th-stringers—future WWE superstars—Watson went 5-for-12 for 36 yards and an interception by Dewayne Carter, a defensive tackle.

Browns fans should be on their feet applauding when Watson steps upon the turf, blessed their team’s salary cap anchored to a QB, when healthy, throws interceptions to DTs—but also rarely healthy. Oh, and begs women to touch his wee wee when he’s not at work, throwing those interceptions to 300-pounders.

Keep your head up, Deshaun. A guy like me would hear those boos and be in the streets of Cleveland using my enormous fortune to stimulate local growth, help everyone in the area meet their needs—you can’t boo the man who feeds the hungry.

But Deshaun has to store those dollars in a briefcase for the lawyer he keeps just in case he falls back into old habits.

I hope the voices in Watson’s head starts telling him where the open receivers are instead of telling him to complain to reporters about fans booing him—as if he deserves adulation simply for his pressence—probably that same attitude that had him at all those court dates, believing he deserved to have his weewee touched because he’s Deshaun Watson after all.
