Pitt starting QB, Kenny Pickett will most likely be the first quarterback selected in the 2022 NFL Draft. Pickett showed out against Wake Forest this Saturday to clinch the ACC championship. He had a decent game with 253 passing yards and 2 touchdowns through the air but one play set him head and shoulders above the rest of the country:

That fake slide was cold as hell. Nothing funnier than embarrassing a defender who is honestly just trying to not hurt a sliding quarterback. Truly a dirtbag move but it looked incredible.
Naturally, nerds are pissed that Kenny Pickett took advantage of the rules. Something cool happened and everyone became cops crying about fairness or whatever.
Here’s what Wake Forest head coach said about the fake slide:
“If that is the rule, I will just have my guy fake knee all the way down the field, and really, what do you do? So it’s something the NCAA is going to have to look at, and you know, you can’t fake a slide.”
“You just train your players, as soon as your quarterback starts sliding, you stop because if you touch him it’s going to be a penalty,” Clawson said. “He started his slide, and our kids stopped playing. I don’t think he did it intentionally, but if he did, he’s brilliant. I just think he reacted as an athlete. But what do you tell your players? The quarterback is protected, and there are two guys there who could have made a play but stopped playing because he started to slide.”
Sounds like you should train your players better, coach Clawson.
But I know how this goes. Pickett seems like he’s a cool dude and people will dig up old tweets right around the draft combine and we’ll find out that he like, hates black women or blind children or some flagrant shit.
