Your 2024 NFL Week 4 Awards are coming a day late because I was traveling all Sunday and had to re-watch these games in the middle of the night. I’m watching more film than Kyler Murray over here. Also, I needed to wait until the Monday Night Football games were over. I assumed Will Levis would do something spectacular and I was correct.
Anyway, here are your NFL Week 4 Awards:
The Disaster Class Award: New York Jets
Aaron Rodgers and Robert Saleh are getting along like college roommates leaving passive-aggressive post-it notes on the fridge complaining about the mess the other is making.
The New York Jets lost 9-10 to the Denver Broncos.
Bo Nix threw more touchdown passes than Aaron Rodgers. Sean Payton refuses to take his knee off the neck of the Jets offensive coordinator, Nathanial Hackett. It’s on sight.
But the New York Jets committed 13 penaltiesâlooking like a team of 53 guys who all just met like, 25 minutes before the opening kickoff.
Saleh and Rodgers could not wait to throw each other under the bus after an awkward missed field goal to lose the game.
Robert Saleh blamed their false start penalties on Rodgers doing too many hard counts. Here’s Rodgers’s response to that:
Aaron Rodgers seems to get annoyed when asked about Robert Salehâs comments about dialing back the cadence on offense. âThatâs one way to do it. The other way is to hold them accountable.â đł#Jets pic.twitter.com/PUbM2WvCsK
â Optimistic Jets (@OptimisticJets) September 29, 2024
Rodgers got his ass beat on Sundayâgetting sacked 5 times and hit 14 times total. My man was literally limping around the field at the end of the game.
It’s not like Rodgers hit the open market and chose the Jets. They traded for him. I reckon he had an expectation they would protect him but he busted his Achilles last season and still has to deal with an offensive line that can’t stop slipping on banana peels.
The Jets are supposed to be Super Bowl contenders. They just scored 0 touchdowns at home and lost to a QB that went into halftime with -7 passing yards.
Disaster class.
The Karma is a Bitch Award: Rashee Rice
Rashee Rice spent the offseason in attack mode. After making several people suffer, Rice has played carefree without any sort of repercussions.
On Sunday, Karma arrived to carry Rice to the medical tent.
âSee what Mahomes did there? If you look closely, he dives at Rashee Riceâs knees here in order to sideline him so he can build rapport with some of his other, less experienced receivers. What a player this guy isâ

â NFL Memes (@NFL_Memes) September 29, 2024
Patrick Mahomes threw an interception and “accidentally” dove onto Rashee’s knee, as the lord intended.
Rashee Rice will join Isiah Pacheco and Hollywood Brown in the infirmary as Kansas City goes into a Monday Night Football game against the New Orleans Saints with Travis Kelce (Taylor’s Version), an undersized rookie receiver and some dudes who need to tell people “No, seriously. I play in the NFL”, often.
The ACAB Award
I try my hardest not to complain about the refs. I try my hardest not to get emotional watching Giants games.
But Thursday night’s injustice will not stand.
The Giants defense started the game holding the Cowboys to just a field goal.
Daniel Jones got the ball back on their 15 and got busyâhitting Malik Nabers for a 40-yarder.
The offense was cooking.
Then Daniel Bellinger was called for a 15-yard facemask penalty that moved the Giants from 1st and 10 and needing to get to the Cowboys 23-yard line for a first down, to starting ball 2nd and 18 at the 48-yard line.
This was called a facemask on Daniel Bellinger.

AND DANIEL BELLINGER WAS THE ONE GETTING RAGDOLLED BY HIS FACEMASK.
Cowboys won 20-15.
All cops are bad.
The Red Zone MVP Award: Justin Jefferson
Thankfully, Justin Jefferson finally has a star QB so he can show off like this:

Jefferson caught 6 passes for 85 yards and a touchdown. Light work in Minnesota’s 31-29 victory over the Packers.
The Carson Wentz Award For Cartoonish Hijinks: Will Levis
In what may be his final Carson Wentz Award win of the season, Will Levis goes out with one final bang.
Emmanuel Ogbah caught the interception with his legs đ˛

WILL LEVIS IS SEEING GHOSTSđł
âI DIDNâT SEE HIM,â after throwing another awful interception.
â MLFootball (@_MLFootball) September 30, 2024
Unfortunately, this was the final straw. Will Levis threw 4 passes Monday night. 1 went to the other team.
He was not allowed to throw more passes as he was benched for Mason Rudolph.
What a run. We will always remember when Will Levis did that weird thing and then did some more weird things. A legend.
The Medical Malpractice Award: Indianapolis Colts
Anthony Richardson was knocked out of the game after taking a rough hit to the hip. He then returned to the game, later in the same drive, to once again get hit in the hip again, knocking him out of the game for real.
I canât believe the Colts coaches did this.
Anthony Richardson left the game with a hip injury, at the 5:30 mark. He returns, limping, 2 minutes later, and the very first play is a QB run!!
Richardson, again gets hurt, and leaves the game to the locker room. pic.twitter.com/inZwJqAgoe
â Emmanuel Acho (@EmmanuelAcho) September 29, 2024
I can maaaaaaybe understand sending Richardson back out there but to immediately call a QB RUN is absurd. This is attempted murder. We just witnessed a hit job. Anthony Richardson was set up. I don’t know who wants this young man dead but they obviously pulled strings to get him drafted to Indianapolis so he could die on the field running QB options until his skeleton is ground to sand.
Biggest Winner: Thailand
When Kliff Kingsbury was fired from the Arizona Cardinals in 2022, he purchased a one-way ticket to Thailand.
A tantric reawakening inspired by young, talented ladyboys gave Kingsbury the secrets of football.
Kliff Kingsbury is the best playcaller in the NFL. Washington’s offense is operating on god mode. The Commanders have played 4 games. They’ve punted twice. Jayden Daniels is completing 82% of his passes. Daniel has led more scoring drives (23) than he has incomplete passes (19).

â Dov Kleiman (@NFL_DovKleiman) September 29, 2024
Washington put up 42 points on Arizona’s head as they look like the team to beat in the NFC East. Kliff Kingsbury designed a perfect offense around Jayden Daniels, allowing him to complete easy throws and run when nothing is available. They are first-down machines.
Biggest Loser: Doug Pederson
There is one team without a win this season: The Jacksonville Jaguars. After losing to the Houston Texans on Sunday, Doug Pederson deflected blame from the coaching staff and put it all on the players.
The last thing a coach should ever do is start blaming the players. Doug Pedersonâs comment, âAs coaches, we canât go out there and make the plays, right? Itâs a two-way street,â wonât sit well in the locker room, nor should it.
Itâs one of the worst things he couldâve said.⌠pic.twitter.com/mXGtIMrDVs
â Jordan Schultz (@Schultz_Report) September 30, 2024
âAs coaches, we canât go out there and make the plays, right?â
He is right, sort of. The Jags sure love committing penalties and dropping passes. But I reckon it’s the coaching staff’s job to maintain focus and professionalism in the locker room that prevent these mental mistakes.
The Jaguars seem to go out every week without a real game plan or strategy. They look like they don’t practice.
Doug Pederson was supposed to be the adult in the room but this team looks just as bad as when Urban Meyer was on the sidelines refreshing his TD Bank app waiting for his direct deposit to hit.
Of all the coaches on the hot seat, it feels like Doug Pederson will be the first one fired.
You have to win more games than the Carolina Panthers.
