Carson Wentz Doesn’t Give a Fuck

carson wentz

Carson Wentz is a backup quarterback who continues to convince organizations that he deserves to be QB1 despite the actual footage of him throwing footballs directly into opposing linebackers’ chests and watching them return it to the endzone while he limps off with a random leg injury.

But the Colts came into a pivotal divisional game against the Tennesee Titans after winning two games in a row. He shockingly only had one interception this season. Well, two interceptions if you count the shovel pass he threw directly to Nick Bosa that was recorded as a fumble.

But it was only a matter of time until Carson Wentz started Carson Wentzing. The season is reaching its crescendo, every possession matters more which means it’s time for this bum to put his cape on and singlehandedly lose games.

The game is tied 24-24 with less than two minutes left in regulation. The Colts are on their own 8-yard line and Wentz drops back all the way into the endzone for some reason. The rest is history.

But it wasn’t over yet. Wentz led the Colts back down the field to tie the game and drag his team into overtime where he would once again show the world that he is a backup quarterback in this league.

If I’m counting correctly, that is the ball being thrown into triple coverage. The Titans would win on a field goal after that interception and Wentz finished the game with just 231 passing yards on 51 attempts.

There is a joy in watching a quarterback play who straight up doesn’t give a fuck. A quarterback who closes his eyes and chucks the ball thinking ‘well, someone’s going to catch this shit’ while the pass rush is pulling him down to the Earth’s crust.

Wentz thinks he’s the most skilled QB in the league and his overwhelming arm talent is enough to succeed.

He thinks punting the ball is a direct indication of his own failure so instead of just taking a sack a yard or two behind the line of scrimmage or throwing the ball away, he can sling the rock at someone wearing a Colts jersey and everyone will praise his toughness but more often than not, the play results in a defensive end getting hit in the helmet with a stupid pass that shouldn’t have been thrown.

Starting quarterbacks understand the value of field position and when it’s time to take chances. Backups, like Carson Wentz, don’t give a fuck.
