The Milwaukee Bucks have officially won the 2021 NBA Finals after coming back from behind 0-2 to a dominant Phoenix Suns squad. Giannis is the new king of the NBA while the former king is on a press tour for his Looney Tunes movie.
But with every big event like this, there are winners and losers.
Here are the 5 biggest winners of the 2021 NBA Finals:
1. Giannis
Michael Jordan was the first player in NBA history to win an MVP, Defensive Player of the Year, Finals MVP and All-Star Game MVP. Last night, Giannis became the second player to accomplish this.
You can no longer pretend he’s a tier below LeBron and Durant. Giannis just dropped 50 points in a close out game to win the chip. There is no slander allowed until further notice.
2. Mike Budenholzer
Coach Bud was updating his resume on Indeed last month and now he’s an NBA Champion and guaranteed at least another decade of doing whatever similar to what Rick Carlise did in Dallas after winning in 2011 and then never winning another playoff series since.
3. Devin Booker/Deandre Ayton
Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton are officially NBA stars. From this moment forward, they will be selected into every All-Star game and their expectations will be through the roof. Booker and Ayton will be on the top of every ‘Top Duos in the NBA’ Bleacher Report list as long as they play together in Phoenix.
4. PJ Tucker
PJ Tucker beat the 2017 Houston Rockets. He beat Trevor Ariza and the Miami Heat. He beat James Harden and the Brooklyn Nets. He beat Clint Capela and the Atlanta Hawks. And he beat Chris Paul and the Phoenix Suns.
As we all expected.
5. Bobby Portis

BOBBY, BITCH.
And now onto the Losers…
1. Chris Paul
Personally, if I were Chris Paul, I would’ve won a ring by now but whatever. Guess I’m just built different. Jeff Teague now has more NBA titles than Chris Paul. Couldn’t be me.
2. The Knicks
If Chris Paul won the title then I would’ve assumed he would’ve opted out of his deal and re-signed with Phoenix but unfortunately, I can’t see CP3 returning to play with these kids again. The problem is, that means he is going to seek that final big massive payday elsewhere and who is more likely to sign the injury-prone perennial geriatric loser besides the New York Knicks? Who but W.B. Mason?
3. Real Hoopers
Giannis has gotten plenty of slack of a ‘bag’. This playoff run proved that Giannis does not need an advanced dribble package to score points. Motherfucker can just run full speed at the basket and score 50.
Naturally, the Twitter basketball police propelled from the skies to claim that Giannis is not a ‘real hooper’ like, say, Jamal Crawford. Which is hilarious if you remember the aforementioned Giannis achievement that only he and Michael Jordan have ever accomplished while Jamal is breaking ankles in Shanghai or wherever the fuck.
4. Emmanuel Acho

Emmanuel Acho, meet the new face of the NBA.
5. Rachel Nichols
Man, what an exciting 2021 NBA Finals. Shame Rachel Nichols wasn’t able to host the ESPN broadcast. Wonder why that is? Hm, whatever.
