Carson Wentz is the most unique quarterback in the NFL. There is no one else in professional football who is capable of reaching the highest highs and the lowest lows in back-to-back possessions.
Trade terms, per sources…

Anddd after one season with the Indianapolis Colts, he is being traded back home to the NFC East but this time for the Washington Commanders.
Every Wentz discussion starts with a reminder on how close he was to winning the 2017 MVP award before he tore his knee to shreds diving into the endzone. By the way, Todd Gurley finished 2nd in MVP voting that season and no GM in the league is tricking themselves into acquiring Gurley based on how well he played FIVE years ago.
Wentz is 29-years old and will be playing for his 3rd team in 3 years. In 2020, he led the league in interceptions but last season he cut that total in half which would lead you to believe his decision-making had improved.
Uh, let’s take a look at those interceptions:

-1 was a busted shovel pass
-1 was a hail mary

Almost impossible to throw an interception on a shovel pass but that’s what makes Carson Wentz so special.
But the most fascinating aspect of Wentz’s weird NFL career is how teammates and front offices talk about him behind the scenes. In Philly, there were whispers about his lack of leadership. When Carson got injured and Nick Foles dragged the Eagles to a Super Bowl victory, the team seemed all in on Foles and disappointed Wentz was returning as the starter.
The Athletic recently reported Indianapolis having the same problems with Wentz.
What was missing, some within the team believe, was the type of direction the Colts got from the quarterback position in recent years, namely with Andrew Luck, Philip Rivers and even Jacoby Brissett, who despite struggling late in the 2019 season remained a deeply respected voice within the locker room.
The quarterback, who learned he was on shaky ground with the organization over the last month, reached out to Irsay in hopes of setting up a meeting to “clear the air,” a source said. Irsay declined the meeting because he was out of town.
Carson Wentz found out his job wanted to replace him and when he attempted to speak directly with his boss—his boss elected to decline the meeting. Jim Irsay didn’t even want to talk to this fucker.
There is something weird about Wentz that rubs people the wrong way. Baker Mayfield seems to have the same stink on him but it’s frequently brought up. Somehow Wentz’s weirdo behavior continues to go under the radar. No one likes this strange kid.
This is the part of the article where I make this story about the New York Giants who are screwed now that Wentz is back in the division.
A lot of quarterbacks became available this offseason and the Giants didn’t make any phone calls. Russell Wilson even said he’d play in New York and the Giants didn’t even send a text. They are running Daniel Jones back out there which is a clear sign they intend on tanking for Jones’s replacement next season.
The Commanders were going to be mid this season but now with Carson at QB1, Washington is about to out-stink the Giants. Whatever quarterback New York had their eyes on will be playing in Washington after a Week 17 Carson Wentz pick six to seal the no. 1 draft pick. I’m sick just thinking about it.
