The Golden State Warriors are 20-4 this season. They are the best team in the NBA and their second best player and co-Splash Brother, Klay Thompson, has yet to even suit up for the squad. But they don’t need Klay because a new Splash Brother has emerged.

Let’s look at what Wiggins did to the poor poverty-ridden Orlando Magic on Monday night:
- 30 minutes
- 28 points
- 8-for-10 from 3
- 3 assists
- +18 +/-
Andrew Wiggins is a career 34% shooter from 3 but there’s something about putting on a Warriors jersey and playing next to Steph Curry that transforms guys into legendary shooters. You know that secret stuff Bugs Bunny pulled out in Space Jam? I imagine the local silicon valley tech CEOs have actually cultivated real life secret stuff that improves athletic performance.
Either he’s been taking advanced medicines or he’s just, ya know, a former no. 1 overall draft pick that had all the potential in the world and failed in Minnesota due to their terrible infrastructure and being surrounded by other teenagers who have no idea how to win NBA games and is currently transforming into the All-Star he was always destined to be now that he’s playing for a serious organization that cares about winning championships and maximizing their players’ skills.
(Sometimes I wonder why I don’t have millions of readers and then I look back at these articles and realize I write paragraph-long run-on sentences for no fucking reason).
Wiggins could always score the basketball. 20 points guaranteed when he jogs out of the locker room. Light work. But his scoring efficiency this season is through the roof. He’s shooting 53% from 2 (career-high), 41.6% from 3 (career-high), 56.5 effective field goal percentage (career-high) and 59.1% true shooting (career-high).
He’s putting up Klay Thompson numbers. Can you imagine how ridiculous this offense is going to look when Klay, Wiggins and Curry get on the court together? Fuck the Golden State Warriors again.
