I love the women’s NCAA March Madness tournament. It’s like the men’s tourny except the players are good. Well, I have no idea if Arkansas State is good because UConn put on a full court press and they forgot how to dribble, pass or shot.
Arkansas State scored 34 points. In 4 quarters.

UConn’s Torture Chamber
Arkansas State shot 17%. UConn’s roster is full of athletes. They have, like, 8 Derrick Jones Jr’s swatting every pass, sending every shot attempts rocketing back in State’s faces. UConn had 13 blocks and 12 steals. In the first half alone, the Red Wolves committed 16 turnovers—UConn scored 27 points off them.
At one point toward the end of the first quarter, Azzi Fudd had two straight steals leading to open layups. It was like watching Michael Jordan play a newborn.
I genuinely believe this team would have a double OT battle with the Washington Wizards. Tonight.
The Future is Now
Paige Beuckers is going to the WNBA in a few weeks. Azzi Fudd will most likely return—these kids don’t want to work anymore—all they do is eat hot chip, charge phone and average 13 points a game against gym teachers—but UConn has historically stacked rosters.
Thankfully, freshman Sarah Strong is here to maintain the Huskies’s monopoly on talent.

The Mavericks may have traded away Luka because he ate too many Twizzlers or whatever but Dallas is about to get their new white hope in the 2025 WNBA Draft.
