Scottie Pippen isn’t doing well. He’s currently on a press tour for his book that doesn’t matter. Every day there is a new bomb dropped regarding how much The Last Dance documentary praised Michael Jordan and disrespected Pippen.
Here is Scottie Pippen saying that no one gives him credit for playing with a bad back the way they revere Michael Jordan for playing with the flu.

Here is an excerpt from his book I won’t be reading where he again, cries about The Last Dance:
“Each episode was the same: Michael on a pedestal, his teammates secondary, smaller, the message no different from when he referred to us back then as his ‘supporting cast.’ From one season to the next, we received little or no credit whenever we won but the bulk of the criticism when we lost. …
“Now here I was, in my midfifties, seventeen years since my final game, watching us being demeaned once again. Living through it the first time was insulting enough.
“Over the next few weeks, I spoke to a number of my former teammates who each felt as disrespected as I did. How dare Michael treat us that way after everything we did for him and his precious brand.
I don’t have much to say about Pippen’s role in that particular documentary. I thought he was depicted fairly. In fact, I recall most people’s takeaway being that Scottie had a far bigger role in the 6 championships than anyone had remembered.
Pippen’s desperation for praise decades after his career ended is such an obvious cry for help. This man’s personal life is hell.
Future publicly slept with his wife leading to Larsa Pippen just becoming the 50-year old Brittany Renner being spotted with a new young basketball player every month. Scottie’s eldest son passed away last year. He lost his job with the Bulls front office last year as well.
The man looks like he hasn’t tasted water in months.
We are witnessing a breakdown from someone who is down horrendously. This isn’t some fake sound clip bombing to sell a liquor brand or a book. No one is rushing to buy his shit. He is seriously dealing with issues in his personal life and is trying to validate himself via his basketball resume.
A few months ago he went on the Dan Patrick show to call Phil Jackson racist. Phil Jackson is probably racist but like, who cares at this point? That interview came off as a man who was drunk as hell just venting about all of his personal grievances to a drinking buddy who showed up to the bar late stone-cold sober wishing he didn’t show up at all.
Someone please hug Scottie and tell him that you love him. I do not want to hear him continue to convince himself that he was as good as Michael Jordan. Mainly because it’s 2021 and I do not give a shit about the ’96 Bulls anymore and because he’s putting himself in a position to get publicly mocked by everyone and their mothers. I imagine adding all this new negatively to his life isn’t helping him heal.
