18 weeks later and it’s over.
The 2024 NFL season is finally over.
Remember week 1 when we all thought our teams could make the playoffs and then Bo Nix and Jayden Daniels came into the league and stole two playoff berths?
Meanwhile, I spent the last 3 months watching the New York Giants lose every week.
Let’s just get to the Super Bowl and wrap this up.
BUT FIRST, we must give out awards to the best and brightest and worst and dimmest.
Here are your NFL Week 18 Awards:
The Disaster Class Award: Fox Sports
It’s never great when an entire network gets lit on fire as the 4pm window of NFL games kicks off.
A lawsuit filed by a former Fox Sports hairdresser claims Skip Bayless offered her $1.5 million for sex. When she called him out for being married, Skip mocked her nationally and essentially said “You’re Muslim, doesn’t your dad have 3 or 4 wives”—because he literally cannot stop himself from debating, even when he’s bartering pussy prices—to which the hairdresser responded, “My dad is dead”.
Yike.
After being propositioned by Skip Bayless, the hairdresser complained to Joy Taylor.
Joy Taylor immediately started yapping at her about sleeping with an executive and her co-host, Emmanuel Acho at the same time in order to climb the career ladder.
Joy basically told the hairdresser to shut up and do sexual favors like everyone else.
But my favorite part of all the court filings was when the hairdresser said Colin Cowherd was cool.
I, too, would love for my name to be in the middle of a sexual harassment lawsuit but all it says is “Lester is decent.”
The Lazarus Award: Bryce Young
Bryce Young’s career was over. He was just too tiny to play professional football.
Then Andy Dalton got into a fender bender, forcing Bryce Young back into the starting lineup with a new level of confidence, as if he was the one to cut Dalton’s breaks and was excited his plan was working.
That was too cold, Bryce.@_bryce_young @StephenCurry30 pic.twitter.com/EZwArdAj1L

Who the fuck is this??
Bryce went from the worst QB in the sport to the swaggiest.
On Sunday, the Carolina Panthers put 44 on the Falcons heads, eliminating them from the playoffs as Bryce Young threw for 251 and scored FIVE total touchdowns.
Bryce Young is back from the dead and he’s coming for the NFC South next season. Between Bryce, Baker Mayfield, Michael Penix Jr and Spencer Rattler, the NFC South might be interesting next season.
The “2024 New York Jets in a Nutshell” Award: New York Jets
This trick play by Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams did NOT go as planned. pic.twitter.com/63i4nwUTCj
— Ari Meirov (@MySportsUpdate) January 5, 2025
Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams passing the ball back and forth to each other and nothing happens.
Rodgers did end up throwing 4 touchdowns against a Miami Dolphins team that was so ready to start their vacations, Tyreek Hill immediately told reporters he was done playing for the team.
If this was Rodgers’s final NFL game, he can go out knowing he made the Jets draft pick worse while managing to win 2 fewer games than Zach Wilson did the previous season.
The “Keeping it 1000” Award: Mike Evans
The “Okay, Time To Admit You Have a Fairy Godmother” Award: Jayden Daniels

With 9 catches for 89 yards in Tampa’s win this weekend to secure their spot in the playoffs, Mike Evans once again finishes the year with 1,000 receiving yards.
That would make ELEVEN straight seasons with 1,000 yards.
Mike Evans has never had a year where he didn’t gain at least 1,000 yards.
In a sport where guys frequently wake up in the back of ambulances, Mike Evans casually plays every game and catches every pass.
GOAT shit.
The “Maybe It’s Time To Work On That LinkenIn” Award: Davis Mills
Davis Mills had a rough Sunday…

Davis Mills and Will Levis went out there for the ultimate mid-off.
Will Levis led the Titans to the L, ensuring they draft his replacement while Davis Mills landed on the top of his skull running into the endzone. He did not get the touchdown by the way.
Maybe it’s time to get that real estate license, Davis.
Biggest Winner: Lamar Jackson
Personally, I think Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Joe Burrow should all be Co-MVPs. This 2024 NFL season will be defined by these 3 quarterbacks all having the best seasons I’ve ever watched.
It feels lame to only acknowledge one of them.
But Joe Burrow missed the playoffs. And Lamar Jackson did this in his final game:
Hey man, Lamar Jackson is obviously the MVP. We all understand this, right? pic.twitter.com/pEqVIZmmE3

I love that no-look touchdown passes are a thing now.
Lamar Jackson is the best football player in the world and he added another couple of touchdowns to his season total to put his name on that trophy.
Biggest Loser: Jerrod Mayo
And just like that, Jerrod Mayo becomes another statistic.
The New England Patriots fired Jerrod Mayo after only one season, adding Mayo to a frustrating list of black head coaches who were only given opportunities because the front office wasn’t particularly interested in winning and once they found their star QB, they fired the black guy for the white guy they believe is more qualified.
And this specific Mayo situation isn’t even racially motivated.
His inevitable replacement, Mike Vrabel, won 3 Super Bowls with this organization, he’s coached playoff teams led by Ryan Tannehill.
Vrabel is the perfect man for the job.
It just sucks that the moment they saw Drake Maye could ball and saw Mike Vrabel was interviewing with the Jets this week, New England instantly pivoted from whatever plan they had to drop everything and give the franchise to Vrabel.
Mike Vrabel is more qualified and has a storied history with the club. He deserves the job. Sure. Still sucks that Mayo may never get this opportunity again because he couldn’t turn Jacoby Brissett into the next Tom Brady.
Thankfully, Jerrod Mayo didn’t leave empty-handed. The Patriots beat the Bills, taking New England from the no. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft down to no. 4.
Myyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy nigga.
