The Chicago Sky are the only thing preventing the Phoenix Mercury, aka the bad guys, from winning the 2021 WNBA title after blowing them out 86-50 in Game 3. The Sky are one game away from winning their first title in franchise history thanks to the 20 point performance from the team’s unsung hero, Kahleah Cooper.

The WNBA does a terrible job at marketing its stars. Copper made her name last season in the Wubble her name never shows up in any of the commercials or promotional ads. Candace Parker is clearly the star of this team.
Allie Quigley and Courtney Vandersloot are more known than Copper and you can say that’s because they’ve been in the league far longer than Kahleah has been but you can also say the problem with WNBA’s marketing is that they only push players that look like Diana Taurasi and Sue Bird. The Yt’s, if you will.
Kahleah Copper is averaging 18.1 points in the playoffs. She’s 4th behind Brittney Griner, Diana Taurasi and Kelsey Plum.

Certified bucket-getter. She is one big game away from a ring and a Finals MVP. The 27-year old Rutgers alum is solidifying herself as one of the killers in this league.
Candace Parker is 35. Allie Quigley is 35. Courtney Vandersloot is 32. When this team came together, it was okay to assume this was going to be a one-and-done enterprise. Candace wanted to return home to Chicago and most importantly, get the fuck away from Derek Fisher. Good for her.
But if Cooper is ready to become a top scorer then the Sky might be in the Finals for years to come getting the Phoenix Mercury allllll the way out of here.
