The Giants are coming off a disgusting 9-20 loss to the Miami Dolphins. Daniel Jones sat out nursing a neck injury so Mike Glennon stepped up to do absolutely nothing out there. Let’s take a look at Glennon’s day:
- 23-for-44 passing (52%)
- 187 passing yards
- 0 touchdowns
- 1 interception
- 53.9 quarterback rating

Phenomenal deep ball from Glennon here. Directly into double coverage for no reason at all. Spectacular decision-making from the 32-year old 8-year veteran.
Truly a shame that Glennon unfortunately suffered a concussion in Sunday’s big fat L. Thankfully, Daniel Jones will be back next week. Right?…
After further visits with Giants doctors and specialists to have his neck injury evaluated, QB Daniel Jones is unlikely to play Sunday vs. Chargers, per sources. Team hopes Jones won’t miss much more time, but Jake Fromm, signed off Buffalo’s PS, could be in line to start Sunday.

…oh no.
Jake Fromm was a 5th round draft pick of the Buffalo Bills in 2020. I just looked up his career stats. He has none. Fromm’s first NFL game ever will be against the Chargers next Sunday.
On one hand, he led the Georgia Bulldogs into the 2018 National Championship game. He was good enough to start over Justin Fields.
On the other hand, he’s never played an NFL game before and he’s being thrown into the middle of a team that is currently on a downward spiral as the GM, head coach, starting quarterback and star running back will all be moving to different cities once this atrocious year is finally over. They’re asking him to swim underneath the Titantic and start patching the holes.
Fromm is either going to have one of the most shocking debuts in NFL history that establishes him as the next franchise quarterback for the Giants allowing them to use their first-round draft picks on the offensive line and pass rush instead of a new rookie QB project.
OR
Fromm is going to have a Tim Boyle-esque debut and put up some Nathan Peterman ass stats. The Giants are going to get blown out and Fromm will be selling cars in Newark this time next year.
Go team!
