It’s time for Deadseriousness to get into the 2025 NFL Mock Draft game. I want those pageviews too. I gotta feed my family (my dog).
Sure, I only really watched Nebraska football and even then, I’m mostly on my phone watching clips from Jeff Teague’s podcast.
But this is America where a lack of knowledge might lead you to a White House job.
Important to note: this is not a mock draft in which we attempt to predict what these teams will do.
Ever since the Cleveland Browns drafted Baker Mayfield no. 1 overall, I no longer have any idea what any of these franchises are thinking.
Instead, this is based on the few college football games I watched, scouting reports I’ve devoured, and most importantly, vibes.
So let’s get it. Here’s the Deadseriousness 2025 NFL Mock Draft:
1. Tennesee Titans: QB Cam Ward—Miami
I’ve seen a ton of mock drafts with the Titans trading out of the first overall pick. Tennessee was the worst team in the NFL and this is their current starting quarterback:
I cannot stop watching Will Levis fall to his knees and just sit there after throwing the game-losing pick 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/ITO3VFFrvH
— NFL Memes (@NFL_Memes) September 8, 2024
The Titans have the first pick, full and total control of the board, and you think they’re trading down? Nah, they should 1000% draft Cam Ward.

— Bleacher Report (@BleacherReport) October 19, 2024
Shedeur Sanders may be better, who knows?
But I do know Shedeur Sanders does not want to be a Titan.
Shedeur isn’t talented enough to have him moping around in your building, unmotivated and one text away from a First Take appearance—shitting on the organization while Stephen A. Smith smiles in the background, refreshing his TD Bank app and deciding which OnlyFans models he’ll donate to when during the commercial break.
The 2024 ACC Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year who led the country with 39 passing touchdowns is better than Will Levis.
We don’t have to be cute about this.
2. Cleveland Browns: EDGE Abdul Carter—Penn State
I don’t think you shop around your generational pass rusher unless you plan on immediately replacing him with a younger, cheaper version.
The Browns have never and will never have a franchise QB.
Stop wasting draft picks on quarterbacks.
Build up the trenches.
Nothing in Cleveland really matters until Deshaun Watson and Justin Tucker retire and start their “Happy Endings” podcast.
Abdul Carter is someone no QB wants to see coming 🦁
The projected first-round @NFL draft pick and 2024 @bigten DPOY recorded 12 sacks and 68 total tackles in his final season with @PennStateFball 👀#B1GFootball pic.twitter.com/mWP32Ugq4J
— Big Ten Football (@B1Gfootball) March 26, 2025
Abdul Carter led the nation in tackles for a loss and was 7th with 12 sacks.
He gets in the backfield whenever he wants and in the off chance he can’t quite make it to the QB, he’s athletic enough to jump up and swat balls at the line of scrimmage.
Carter will retire with several Defensive Player of the Year trophies.
3. New York Giants: WR/CB Travis Hunter—Colorado
The Giants need a quarterback. Sure. You know what else they need? Everything.
This makes Travis Hunter, a guy who excels at two key positions, the perfect pick for my beloved New York Giants.
I’ve already written about the perfect union between Hunter and New York so I won’t get into the weeds but yea, it’s always a good idea for bad franchises to acquire great players. A controversial take, I know.
4. New York Jets: QB Sheuder Sanders—Colorado (Trade With New England)
Probably unlikely for the Patriots to trade with the Jets and hand their division rival a new franchise QB but if Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter are off the board at 4 then New England should trade down, to anyone, instead of reaching for a player undeserving of the 4th pick.
Justin Fields seems like a great guy. I bet he’s a fantastic son and a generous lover. Always hold the elevator door open, no matter how far away someone is.
He also can’t see open receivers and recently lost his job to an actor playing the role of Russell Wilson.
The Jets need Shedeur Sanders.
They need the juice.
Someone with supreme confidence in themselves who is used to playing well in toxic work environments with less talented coworkers.
Sanders led the country with a 74% completion percentage playing behind one of the worst offensive lines.
He won the Big 12 Player of the Year, throwing for 4,134 yards and scoring 41 total touchdowns.
Shedeur Sanders, at worst, is as good as Aaron Rodgers was last season.

Shedeur Sanders is the perfect New York Jet.
5. Jacksonville Jaguars: RB Ashton Jeanty—Boise State
Let’s do it.
Forget everything I’ve ever written about NFL team building and establishing the offensive and defensive lines as teams should singularly focus on protecting their quarterbacks and murdering opposing ones.
you could watch some shitty half-hour sitcom
or you could watch a half-hour of Liam Coen saying “Duval” pic.twitter.com/smWO6uQyZu
— The Coachspeak Index (@CoachspeakIndex) January 30, 2025
Throw all that out. It’s a new era in Duuuuvaaaaalllll.
New Jags head coach, Liam Coen, was the OC for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In 2023, the Bucs had the 32nd-ranked rushing attack.
Last season, Coen made them the 4th ranked.
Give Liam Coen one of the best running backs on the planet and let’s see what Trevor Lawrence looks like when he’s asked to play more like Brock Purdy instead of Joe Burrow.
6. Las Vegas Raiders: WR Tetairoa McMillan—Arizona
Wide receivers are getting PAID.
They used to be minimum-wage employees and now they’re paid more than the GMs they’re negotiating with.
The league has made it clear that top-end wide receiver talent matters, especially if you don’t have one of those Top 3 QBs (Mahomes, Lamar and DeVito).
So it would be silly for the Raiders to see Tetairoa McMillan available on the big board and not snatch him up to help build this new Tom Brady-led Las Vegas Raiders team that appears done picking at the top of drafts.
Geno Smith could put up MVP numbers throwing to Brock Bowers and McMillan—two players who catch every single ball thrown in their general direction.
They could be like the Caucasian version of Larry Fitzgerald and Anquan Boldin back in the day.
7. New England Patriots: OT Armand Membou—Missouri (Trade With New York)
This feels like a more appropriate place to select a right tackle, right?
8. Carolina Panthers: TE Tyler Warren—Penn State
Tight ends all kind of suck now but I can’t stop looking at Brock Bowers finishing his 2024 rookie campaign in Las Vegas with 112 receptions for 1,194 yards and 5 touchdowns. Tight ends might be back.
Tyler Warren could become Bryce Young’s secret weapon. Warren is a bulldog gaining chunks of yards at a time, barreling through would-be tacklers.
He caught the ball 17 times.
He ran the ball.
He threw the ball.
He snapped the ball.Tyler Warren was sensational for @PennStateFball vs. USC. pic.twitter.com/5bTv4SKaUK
— CBS Sports College Football 🏈 (@CBSSportsCFB) October 12, 2024
He’s a YAC lord, created in a lab to lower his shoulder into linebackers’ chests to get first downs—no matter what. Tyler Warren can singlehandedly save the tight end position—unlike Kyle Pitts who is invisible on Sundays.
9. New Orleans Saints: DT Mason Graham—Michigan
The Saints need good players. Anyone will do.
10. Chicago Bears: EDGE Mike Green—Marshall
The Bears addressed their offensive line problems in free agency so no point in wasting a Top 10 first-round pick on depth.
Mike Green led the country with 17 sacks this season.
A bit of a risky pick at no. 10 though.
Green was a 3-star wide receiver recruit out of high school who transitioned to defense—so he’s undersized for his position but his 22.5 tackles for a loss last season were second in the country behind only Abdul Carter.
If Abdul Carter is “generational” then what the hell is Marshall’s Mike Green?
-Same size
-More sacks (17)
-More run stops (46)
-Higher run D grade (89.3)
-More FFs (3)I promise you #Browns fans you can pick QB at 2 & still get a great DE#DawgPound
pic.twitter.com/AM78scBSpr— Mac🦬 (@tha__buffalo) February 13, 2025
Mike Green could be a defensive star.
11. San Francisco 49ers: QB Jaxson Dart—Ole Miss
The San Francisco 49ers are not giving Brock Purdy that big Dak Prescott money. Or I’ll say, they shouldn’t give Purdy that money.
Jaxson Dart is the prototypical “coachable” quarterback these offensive coaches want.
He’s a pass-first point guard that Kyle Shanahan can puppeteer from the sidelines—generating 300 yards a game from a guy whose sole job is to simply listen to exactly what the coach says.
This season, Dart finished with 4,279 yards (3rd in the country), completed 69.3% of his passes (led the SEC), and threw 29 touchdown passes.

Sean Payton grabbed Bo nix and Kyle Shanahan should grab Jaxson Dart.
12. Dallas Cowboys: RB Omarian Hampton—North Carolina
The 2024 Dallas Cowboys finished 27th in rushing. Then they let Rico Dowdle leave in free agency because Jerry Jones heads to wherever the new Epstein Island is as soon as the Cowboys season ends and only returns around the draft to try and pick Tim Tebow or Johnny Manziel.
Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliot were rolling year after year until Ezekiel started looking more like Norbit and less like a professional athlete. That metabolism stopped metabolizing.
Omarion Hampton is the same type of back who is younger, healthier, and cheaper—who can bulldoze defenders and outrun dudes to the house.

— Austin Abbott (@AustinAbbottFF) January 29, 2025
13. Miami Dolphins: OT Will Campbell—LSU
Will Campbell was the top offensive lineman coming into the draft process, well, before the combine measurements came out—revealing Campbell has widdle bittie baby arms—a problem for tackles whose job it is to keep pass rushers off of their body.
Campbell having little ass arms means guys have to get close to him and in the NFL, if TJ Watt, Micah Parson or Myles Garrett get close to you, you’re going to wake up, stuck on your back like a turtle.
He’s perfect for Mike McDaniel’s Dolphins team full of undersized players.
Miami is the land of misfit toys.
Also let’s enjoy Tua’s final season. Will Campbell is sending him to the afterlife.
14. Indianapolis Colts: CB Will Johnson—Michigan
This is no offense to Will Johnson.
He’s good.
See.
Watching this game, Will Johnson has very high football IQ and would fit perfect in the zone defense AZ runs, they just don’t run as much cover 2 as Michigan pic.twitter.com/QopRORXRmg
— k11 (@echoaxis_11) March 26, 2025
But I can’t get excited about a “Will Johnson”.
Default create-a-player ass name.
No aura in sight.
Willy Johnson? Maaaaybe.
But Will Johnson?
Kids aren’t begging their parents to take them to go see Will. Johnson.
15. Atlanta Falcons EDGE Shemar Stewart—Texas A&M
The Atlanta Falcons finished 31st in sacks last season.
Their roster was completely void of game-changing playmakers on defense.
All of the best defenses have at least one guy opposing teams need to double or even triple team on 3rd and long—and oftentimes, that one guy still gets a hit on the QB.
Shemar Stewart has the potential to be that game-wrecker for Atlanta.
My one fear is Stewart’s abilities are borderline imaginary.
He’s a pure athlete who would’ve held his own in the Trojan War against guys like Achilles and shit but he doesn’t have any of the counting stats in college that match his hypothetical ceiling.
Like, my man played every game and only had 31 tackles.
Shemar Stewart is a FREAKISH athlete 👀
At 6’5, 281lbs, Stewart possesses alien explosiveness, quickness, and raw power that allows him to wreak havoc and defend the run at an elite level.
He dominated the Senior Bowl and earned himself an early withdrawal. pic.twitter.com/6E5Yod2ATo
— NFL Draft Files (@NFL_DF) January 30, 2025
But look at these tackles, yo. That’s NFL ready.
16. Arizona Cardinals DT Derrick Harmon—Oregon
I don’t know what the Arizona Cardinals need.
I went into this offseason fully believing they would move on from Kyler Murray and sort of reset the clock but nope—the 8-9 Cardinals are simply running it back.
Sure.
Take a defensive lineman.
Whatever.
17. Cincinnati Bengals S Malaki Starks—Georgia
Whenever you have the opportunity to get your hands on a star Georgia defender without an arrest record, you have to pull the trigger.
The Bengals need secondary help.
Trey Hendrickson cannot be the sole contributor on defense.
He needs help behind him. J
oe Burrow shouldn’t have to score 40, and still lose, because his defense allowed the other team to score 41.
Oh my goodness. This is why Malaki Starks is a blue chip prospect pic.twitter.com/NqkR9qS3G9
— Billy M (@BillyM_91) August 31, 2024
Cincinnati should roll out the red carpet for Malaki Starks.
Although they are a notoriously cheap organization so it would probably be an inexpensive white carpet they make some unpaid interns paint red.
18. Seattle Seahawks WR Luther Burden III—Missouri
Klint Kubiak’s New Orleans offense was unstoppable until Derek Carr stopped it.
They were drowning teams in touchdowns.
Now he’s running Seattle’s offense with Sam Darnold, Cooper Kupp, Kenneth Walker and Zach Carbonnet. (Jaxon Njigba-Smith and Marques Valdes-Scantling are there too, for whatever that’s worth).
Luther Burden III could be the gadget player to catch defenses looking, breaking off a few explosive plays a game.
Luther Burden touchdown. Get used to it. pic.twitter.com/wmC3hDGPDF
— EDDIE HIGH (@EddieHigh) August 30, 2024
A generation of teenagers are about to fall in love with Luther Burden.
19. Tampa Bay Buccaneers CB Jahdae Barron—Texas
Last season, the Bucs gave up the 4th most passing yards on defense.
Baker Mayfield was forced into weekly 4th quarter shootouts thanks to a defense with no resistance in the air.
Travis Hunter had 36 tackles, 4 interceptions and 11 pass deflects. He’s unanimously the best corner in the draft.
Jahdae Barron had 67 tackles, 5 interceptions and 11 pass deflects. Oh, and 1 sack.
Jahdae Barron is DOMINANT.
9 PBUs, 5 picks, and 0 TDs allowed in 2024 to go with just 279 yds allowed.
He’s the most physical and versatile DB in the class, capable of playing the boundary, safety, or wreaking havoc as a nickel.
Barron is a top 10 player and an elite talent. pic.twitter.com/Ssb4F4p3AW
— NFL Draft Files (@NFL_DF) January 25, 2025
The Buccaneers could add a future Hall of Famer to their lame-ass secondary.
20. Denver Broncos RB Treveyon Henderson—Ohio State
The Denver Broncos had the 20th-ranked rushing attack.
Hypothetically, Treveyon Henderson can be Sean Payton’s new Alvin Kamara.
Henderson led the Big Ten in yards per carry twice at Ohio State.
He’s a home run hitter who can embarrass defenders in open space.
TREVEYON HENDERSON 75 YARDS TO THE HOUSE, WOW‼️

— ESPN (@espn) January 11, 2025
Bo Nix was the king of screen passes so let’s give him a guy who can turn a catch behind the line of scrimmage into a 20-yard gain.
21. Pittsburgh Steelers QB Jalen Milroe—Alabama
The Pittsburgh Steelers do not have a starting quarterback—a potential problem for a professional football organization.
After watching how the Steelers played last season, it makes all the sense in the world to draft one of the most electric running quarterbacks in the game.
Pittsburgh’s offense has been so sluggish and boring and stagnant—Jalen Milroe is an instant lightning rod, capable of singlehandedly shifting the momentum inside a stadium.
NOT ONE, NOT TWO, NOT THREE BUT FOUR RUSHING TDS FOR JALEN MILROE 😱
ABSOLUTELY TERRORIZING THE LSU DEFENSE 😳 pic.twitter.com/XuXOsCkLLC
— ESPN (@espn) November 10, 2024
Unfortunately, I think his ceiling is Tyrod Taylor but a Tyrod Taylor coming into the NFL in 2025—with a team dedicated to helping him succeed—would be a dangerous QB.
22. Los Angeles Chargers TE Colston Loveland—Michigan
🎵I’m coming home, I’m coming home. Tell the world that I’m coming home.🎵
6’5, 250lbs TE’s are not usually able to create man separation like this…
Colston Loveland can. pic.twitter.com/tjzPgxRs9h
— SCOUTD (@scoutdnfl) January 5, 2025
It’s time for Jim Harbaugh to bring his star tight end from Michigan up to the big leagues with him to help bail Justin Herbert out.
Lord knows Herbert desperately needs a pressure release valve sitting open in the middle of the field to stop him from putting his cape on, attempting to be Superman, and throwing a cross-the-field pass into double coverage with his eyes closed.
23. Green Bay Packers LB Jihaad Campbell—Alabama
Only one player, Quay Walker, had over 100 tackles on the Packers last season—and Walker only had 102, like, he barely hit 100.
Jihaad Campbell had 117 in 13 games at Bama.
All great defenses need an absolute sociopath in the middle of the field—running full speed, head first into walls over and over again, all Sunday long.
Sometimes it’s not about speed or strength or size but about who is willing to give themselves CTE to stop a random inconsequential run play at the start of the 2nd quarter.
Jihaad Campbell, man
Diagnosis the flea flicker and instead of dropping back in coverage, he realizes he likely has free rush through the A-gap. Bets on his downhill speed and athleticism to blow up the play in the backfield. So damn smooth and fluid. pic.twitter.com/SuEkKamNrm
— Jake Rabadi (@JakeRabadiNFL) March 29, 2025
The Green Bay Packers will become a serious Super Bowl threat if they add a “nobody makes me bleed my own blood” maniac to the heart of their defense.
24. Minnesota Vikings EDGE Mykel Williams—Georgia
Yeaaaa just go ahead and read everything I said about Shemar Stewart. Same shit.
25. Houston Texans OT Kelvin Banks Jr—Texas
#SaveCJStroud
26. Los Angeles Rams QB Quinn Ewers—Texas
The Sean McVay era Los Angeles Rams have established their indifference toward first-round picks so why not spend one on a QB to sit behind Matthew Stafford—a guy who tried to escape in the middle of the night, called an uber, saw the driver was Joe Schoen, and immediately changed his mind.
Perhaps I’m overrating what Quinn Ewers is capable of in the NFL but I think he played his ass off in the College Football Playoffs, including Texas’s huge 39-31 double-overtime victory over Arizona State where Ewers threw for 322 yards and 3 touchdowns.
27. Baltimore Ravens LB Jalon Walker—Georgia
In an era where the best defensive minds have discovered the best way to dismantle an offense’s gameplan is to randomly send pressure from any direction or any position at any random time, guys like Jalon Walker—who can lineup anywhere and explode to the quarterback in the blink of an eye—are astronomically more valuable than ever before.
Great close from Jalon Walker to get a sack #NFLDraft pic.twitter.com/OIEkgfpBfq
— Matt Holder (@MHolder95) March 24, 2025
But standing at just 6-foot-1, which means he’s probably, at best, 6 feet tall, he is the same height as the guy on his couch writing this 2025 NFL Mock Draft article.
28. Detroit Lions DT Kenneth Grant—Michigan
Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn are gone. It’s a new era in Detroit. Best to just double down on linemen to maintain your identity.
It’s never a bad thing to have a bunch of talented D-Linemen.
We’re almost done with this so I will continue having nothing interesting to say about defensive tackles.
29. Washington Commanders DT Walter Nolen—Ole Miss
Some of you might be thinking “Wait, I think Lester is intentionally throwing a bunch of DTs at the end of this 2025 NFL Mock Draft to avoid actually talking about these players so he can wrap this shit up”
Yup.
30. Buffalo Bills WR Matthew Golden—Texas
Last year, the Buffalo Bills traded down in the first round with Kansas City. Both teams needed receivers. The Chiefs snatched Xavier Worthy off the board—the same Xavier Worthy who scored 2 touchdowns in the Super Bowl the Bills were watching from home.
It’s an arms race in the AFC. Buffalo can’t be cute anymore.
Draft the best wide receiver available or risk handing them to the one team you can’t beat.
Matthew Golden catches everything.
He wins downfield, tracks the ball well, and has the body control/fluidity to make adjustments.pic.twitter.com/jaAIjBj02R
— Snoog’s Fantasy HQ (@FFSnoog) January 18, 2025
Matthew Golden miiiight be helpful to Josh Allen. Maybe.
31. Kansas City Chiefs WR Emeka Egbuka—Ohio State
I’m not convinced the Chiefs need a wide receiver but I do love this new tradition of a rookie receiver arriving to help Mahomes get to another Super Bowl and immediately punching everyone in the face when the season is over.
Rashee Rice and Xavier Worthy were first and I need Emeka Egbuka to score a touchdown in the Super Bowl and then bite a CVS pharmacist a week later.
32. Philadelphia Eagles: Fuck the Eagles
