Biggest storyline of the season
The Timberwolves fired their GM a month before the season started because he was so so horny. The last move he made was acquiring Pat Bev. Dope. No idea what Minnesota is doing up there. Karl-Anthony Towns is statistically one of the best big men ever and no one gives a shit because they keep surrounding him with weirdos and psychopaths.
Key Players
Anthony Edwards: Following the All-Star break, Edwards averaged 23.8 points a game on 45% shooting from the field. His ceiling might be Vince Carter-esque but the Timberwolves need someone electrifying to get Bleacher Report and ESPN eyes so that maybe people might want to finally play for this team.
D’Angelo Russell: When his career is over, no one will remember the one time D’Angelo was an All-Star.
Karl-Anthony Towns: Unlike Anthony Davis desperately avoiding playing center to the detriment of the Lakers, I would love for the Timberwolves to put a center next to KAT and let him work on the perimeter and lessen his defensive load because he clearly does not have rim-protecting instincts.
Malik Beasley: Decent scorer, terrible human.
Patrick Beverley: Here’s my favorite Pat Bev stat. In his 9 NBA seasons, he’s played in 11 playoff series. In the Minnesota Timberwolves 32 years of being an NBA franchise, they’ve only played in 11 playoff series.
Jaden McDaniels: Trade chip.
How the Timberwolves can win the title
Minnesota finished 28th in defensive rating last season. Ben Simmons is the best perimeter defender in the NBA. Hm.
