We always want what we can’t have. We’re humans, after all. It’s natural to wonder what your former partner is up to and sometimes with a few drinks, you might convince yourself it’s a good idea to hit them up and check in on them. Davante Adams cannot stop doing that.
Last offseason, Davante Adams woke up next to Aaron Rodgers and looked at him with disgust. He picked up his phone and slid into the DMs of his former college bae, Derek Carr. The two rekindled their romance and Adams was traded to Las Vegas so they could reunite.
It started exciting, as it often does. Here’s what Davante Adams did Week 1 this season with his old college flame throwing him the ball:
- 10 receptions
- 141 yards
- 1 touchdown
But the Raiders lost.
They decided to keep losing all season. The Raiders finished 6-11 including an atrocious loss to an Indianapolis Colts team that had hired an ESPN analyst with no professional coaching experience to coach them like, 5 days before the game.
So, as it tends to go for many of us, Adams realized that he and his ex broke up for a reason and he should’ve never gone back to him. This is a valuable lesson learned. The grass isn’t always greener on the other side. Your ex is your ex for a reason.
And now Davante is publicly letting everyone know that he wants Aaron Rodgers back in his life.

He wants this man to move back in. COME BACK HOME AARON. He’s even liking tweets about Rodgers.
Davante Adams had the best years of his career thanks to Aaron Rodgers and he thought he could do it without him. Nothing wrong with betting on yourself but he also bet on Derek Carr. This isn’t a gambling site—unless some company wants to cut the check—but you never bet on Derek Carr.
Unfortunately for Davante, Aaron Rodgers isn’t the type to fall for any of this. He is fully aware he was dumped and he would never run back to Adams. Aaron Rodgers is the type of guy who will stay in Green Bay and win another MVP award out of spite.
I’m praying for Davante. My brother is hurting. He just wants to put his family back together.
So where will Aaron Rodgers play in 2023?
I think the Packers have already decided that Jordan Love will be the starting quarterback next season. They allowed Rodgers to finish the season as the starter as a little farewell tour but a breakup is coming soon.
There’s a 0% chance Rodgers plays for the Raiders. I know there are plenty of great deserts out there in Nevada to pop acid and talk to coyotes and shit but he seems like the type of weirdo who does hallucinogens like, on the drive home from work. The surrounding environment isn’t important
Now that Tom Brady is retired, it wouldn’t shock me if Bill Belichick was retiring soon as well. What if he wanted to make one big Super Bowl run before he hangs it up? What if the New England Patriots traded for Aaron Rodgers?
Plus, Mac Jones looks like he can be the face of Wisconsin. No doubt in my mind that geek is sitting somewhere eating a brick of cheese smiling ear to ear.
